06.01.2022 I got a bit carried away with my crochet basket obsession during the Lockdown. Any excuse to play with colour while (unsuccessfully) trying to make sense of the... world. I’ve enjoyed weaving in multiple strands of coloured wool and cotton and coming up with luscious new combinations. Alongside my paintings they are for sale during Open Studios. You can use them as pretty storage, to cover ugly plant pots, even as a handbag... 02.01.2022 "Once Upon a Time", 40 x 51 cm, oil on cradled birch ply Here's a recent commission. Quite a challenge, this one. Based on a black and white photo from the early 70s. It's the story of the love between a son and his mother. One sunny afternoon by the pool, once upon a time in South Africa.
