14.01.2022 It’s with a bucket load of emotions that I can confirm that we will be closing the doors to this little garden for the last time on Saturday . Sadly this is just one storm to many for this little business to withstand . There are just so many words that could be said but I’m struggling to find the right order to put them in. To this beautiful community , Thankyou for loving Elkas & me through what has been 7 years of immeasurable life changes . It’s time now to gently step away and take a breath

05.01.2022 Safe to say it’s been an emotional week. Yesterday we closed the doors to Elkas Garden as a retail space When the world starts turning again and weddings spring forth , we may regroup and reemerge in a different form. But for now, it’s time to rest. Over the last 7 years it’s taken many hands to keep the wheels of this little dream turning. Sooo many big hearts to thank but a treasur...ed two that held me (& Elkas) together when I was being swallowed by grief. Abby @searchingforsage Thankyou will never be enough for all that you have been to me we started as two little hippie chicks crying tears of disbelief on our first Mother’s Day together & we have ended up as family . ( I will even miss you messing with my window displays) @kateecorless ( who probably won’t read this as she dosnt have socials ) You have been the backbone of this little flower hub. This is not the end for us my flower sister , in the words of Nahko ‘ I believe in the good things coming’ Elkas garden, you have built me up & nearly broken me, you have given me purpose & kept me humble. Through you I have been given opportunities I could only have dreamt of and worked on projects I could not have dreamed up! Hopefully this is not farewell but just goodbye for now. If you’re looking for me , for now, I’ll be taking a break, looking for waves & making boards over at @orphicboardco Thanks for the ride Elkas, it’s been real Love and gratitude Mel xxx
