Overnight, sadly, there was a suicide that took place on a TikTok live which has made its way into the feeds of many people around the world. The advice is to stay off Tik Tok for a 24 hour period until they have been able to take this video out of the algorithm. This is a very traumatising video. It is also circulating on MANY other social platforms (Instagram, kids messenger and Facebook), so please monitor your children. 02.01.2022 Please feel free to share this post, I’m trying to reach as many people to support children and their families through this tine. I cannot post to some Facebook...s group as it is deemed advertising I am a Gippsland based registered music therapist. I have received funding to provide online music therapy groups with children to promote connectedness and support emotional wellbeing. The groups run for 8 sessions for 45 minutes and will have 6-8 participants. There is no charge to be involved in the groups and no musical experience or instruments required (if you have some at home, great, but if you don’t we can work around this). Groups will be formed based on age groups and will be run via Zoom. The groups will be facilitated by myself, and I am also a registered teacher with current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, Police Check and Working with Children Check.
