25.01.2022 5 "Healthy Foods" that are really junk food in disguise! 1. Processed 'low-fat' and 'fat free' foods Removal of fat doesn't make a product taste good, to compensate companies load the product with sugars. ... Saturated fat is harmless, however added sugar is incredibly harmful in excess. 2. Fruit Juices Basically just liquid sugar, some don't have actual fruit in them just chemicals and additives that taste like fruit. Juice the real thing and you'll get the good stuff like fibre as well. 3. 'Heart- healthy' whole wheat True whole wheat in present day is unhealthy compared to what our grandparents ate. Around 1960, GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) was used to increase yield, but in the process decreased nutrient content. Modern day 'wheat' now has properties that are worse for gluten intolerance, can causes inflammation & increases cholesterol. 4. Margarine High in trans-fats and loaded with refined vegetable oils. Vegetable oils, despite temporarily lowering cholesterol, it can increase risk of heart disease and memory impairment. Coconut oil, grass fed butter & olive oil in moderation are much healthier options. 5.Most processed breakfast cereals Some breakfast cereals can have deceiving health claims and/or images on the box, e.g "whole grain' or "low fat", pictures of athletes. However many of these contain refined grains, sugar & artificial chemicals. It is important to review product packaging to confirm what you are eating and if it is healthy for you. If there's numbers or words in the ingredients that you don't understand, look them up! Real food doesn't need and ingredient list, real food is the ingredient. Remember to always inhale and exhale through your nose to help engage that diaphragm which makes up 1/4 of that inner core unit that is part of your deep core stabilisers. ... Try each exercise for 1 minute each and repeat 3 times. while doing the breathing exercise look gently down at your chest while doing the lying ball squeeze - exhale as you squeeze the ball while doing the belly button to spine imagine a string coming from your belly button and its end is on the ground with a weight on it. Setting intentions is the key to success Success can be spiritual growth, something tangible, how you wake up and feel about your life, any goals and desires. I never really understood what setting intentions actually meant?!?! until just recently and I think the best way to explain it is to honor how you want to feel and you can do this daily and then let the universe do its work because you are now the beacon attracting what you want. "Setting an intention is activating a part of your receptivity. If you were to go out in the day, and not have set any intention or created any type of prayer or manifestation of how you want the day to go, then you're getting on a bike with no direction. This can be great sometimes because you're allowing fate to happen to you, but if you know that you want to get somewhere, the power of setting an intention is going to help you get there."
