23.01.2022 !!!! PSA !!!! I am currently no longer taking bookings until MARCH onwards or (until further notice). Please message me, if youd like to book in for March onwards, and I will reply promptly. To those currently booked in for shoots for the rest of January and February, Im sure I have covered all bases and have messaged you all (please pm me if Ive forgotten to add you to the emailing list), and for those handful of clients still waiting on gallerys to be edited, I am t...rying my very best to have these done for you ASAP whilst trying to rest as per advised by the doctors and paediatricians. I will keep you all updated with an ETA, within the next week or so. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for those who have understood my current circumstances and for those who have understood that I am almost due to have my baby girl, with some additional health issues recently arisen and having being ordered to take early maternity leave/bed rest. Your patience, understanding, and thoughtfulness has not gone unnoticed and the gratitude I have for you all, is none that words can explain. If you have any questions, please message me, I will be contactable today, and am happy to answer as many questions as I can possibly get through. Again, Thank-you to those for your patience and understandings, I really appreciate it. For those that have messaged, I will be getting back to you today! SIDE NOTE FOR FUTURE BOOKINGS - Even though, as per stated, I try to give everyone a time limit or an ETA of a 1/2 week turnaround with images and a full gallery delivered to each of you, sometimes this may not always be the case, due to wanting to perfect images and have them delivered to you, to my standards. This turnaround time may become 4/6 weeks, depending on what needs to be done throughout editing, and in some circumstances, such as the one above, personal circumstances contribute to this. As said above though, I do like to aim for a 1/2 week turnaround. Editing can take up to 5/6 hours at a time depending on the gallery size, and I have specific working hours that I work within, so that my work/life balance is still flexible. As a majority of you would know, I have a full time job (38 hours per week- currently on mat leave as of recent), I do photography as a part time job on top of my full time job, and I also have three boys (one is my step-son), plus another baby on the way. To those who have understood this, I am so appreciative for your patience, and to others who have not been advocates of delivery times of gallerys, please keep in mind, I am always trying my best, and can only keep doing so. Your feedback through direct message of my page, is always taken on board on my behalf.

03.01.2022 I am so saddened that I have had to cancel my up and coming birth photography shoots that were booked in. I genuinely feel for everyone who is struggling during these odd circumstances, and hopefully by most people following these measures, we can all get back to normality very SOON! DIY BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY OR FRESH 48 For all of you mamas that are unable to have a photographer at your birth or fresh 48, here are some helpful hints for you to take great photos on your p...hone or with your own camera! -Take them during the day when there is plenty of window light. -TURN OFF the hospital lights! Use the window light only, if you can! -Position your baby facing the light coming through the window. -Don't shoot towards the window. Shoot with the window to your side or to your back, but be careful not to block the light coming through! - Don't photograph aiming up the babies nose. Shoot down, from above or the side of the baby. - Get close! Thats where the details are! Fresh skin and tiny fingers and toes are important! -Download the Lightroom App on your phone and edit your photos there! Saw this on another photographers page this morning and thought it was a great idea! I wanted to also add: Ask your nurse to swaddle the baby for you. NURSES ARE THE BEST SWADDLERS! TAG your expecting mama friends! We ALL, professionals and individuals, should be doing our part to help one another. Giving advice, lending a helping hand, and doing what is best for one another. This post was not created to gain business, or promote my business in anyway. Just to share a wonderful idea that another photographer had. By adding tips, and taking out some things I wouldn't do personally, was a way for me to reach out and help the expecting mothers in my community!
