25.01.2022 The most fabulous time of the year is near and we have the festive feels at Ellie Mae’s. January is nearly booked out so if are looking for a break let me know as we have only one week free.

24.01.2022 Blue skies and calm seas today at the Bay (Port MacDonnell is also known to the locals including the people of Mount Gambier as the Bay), just so relaxing and the weather looks like it is finally improving . Bring on Summer.

20.01.2022 I love our Blue Lake. It is majestic, unique and iconic. You must stroll the perimeter and take the tour. Just another reason to explore the Limestone Coast.

We welcome you to come an explore our local region, with many natural features, or just relax and enjoy a good fed of local produce. At Ellie Mae’s we want you to feel at home. So come on... come on down South.

12.01.2022 Tea, coffee or even a hot chocolate (milo in the pantry too) awaits for you on your arrival... and don’t panic there is milk in the fridge. Christmas holidays are filling fast and with nicer weather it’s time to escape and explore our beautiful Limestone Coast.

12.01.2022 Wow nearly 12 months since we started taking bookings for Ellie Mae's and I love looking back at our photos of the before and afters and seeing the love that we brought back to the little brown house. We believe this kitchen would have been the original one and had probably seen some wonderful times over the years and now with the new kitchen installed I hope guest will make great memories as well. So if you are looking for somewhere to stay over the Christmas Holidays (or anytime) please let me know.

Experience the magnificent rugged coastline and natural beauty of Port MacDonnell,... the Southernmost port in South Australia and home to the largest Southern Rock Lobster fleet in Australia. Enjoy freshly caught lobster from October to May, check out the Offshore Angling Club's tuna fishing competition in May or try one of the great local fishing charters including: Extreme Marine Charters, Grumpy Fishing Charters,, Limestone Coast Fishing Charters, Port MacDonnell Fishing Charters, Remarkable Fishing Charters or Southerly Fishing Charters. For those that wish to stay on the land consider contacting Bush Repair for a cultural bush or eco-tour.
