22.01.2022 This project really had us reflecting on some of the great organisations that work in helping refugees. Have you heard of the Australian Refugee Health Practice Guide? It's an amazing resource produced by Foundation House and we're super proud to be a part of this project! Foundation House provides services to advance the health, wellbeing and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin or while fleeing those countries.

They say orange is considered an energetic colour. It calls the mind to demand your attention, feel warmth, excitement and enthusiasm. Compare it to a colour like blue, which can often make you feel calm or tranquil, reminding you of the ocean or sky.

19.01.2022 DESIGN TIP #2: If you are designing a file ready for print with photography or raster artworks, ensure they are no less than 96dpi (dots per inch), ideally to get the best quality print, all files should be 300dpi. 13.01.2022 DESIGN TIP #3 Dont forget to take into consideration the number of pages your book/document has when deciding on the type of binding youd like! For example; for a Perfect bound booklet you must have at least 25 sheets (50 pages) and a max of roughly 125 sheets (250 pages). While a Saddle Stitch bound booklet requires less pages. So if youd like a little extra help on different binding options, please get in touch with our friendly Ellikon team today!

04.01.2022 DESIGN TIP #1: There are a few key elements to designing a map; data, legend, titles, orientation icon/s, citation and of course the scale of the map. Now, while the trusty ol' Melway's isn't as popular anymore, these elements are still important today for things like way-finding, wedding invitation maps, digital maps and maps in booklets such as the one above. To ensure it is user friendly and legible these few elements should be incorporated and this can be done in a traditional way or a modern and creative way.
