25.01.2022 Exciting News!!!!!!! Dental2You is able to resume their planned visit to our Centre. We have locked this in for next Wednesday 27 May. If you already handed in your forms for participation in this, Dental2You wil be in contact in the coming days, and if you didn't previously hand in the form and would like your child's teeth checked, please see us for a form as soon as possible.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, Please let us introduce you to "Mark". We have adopted Mark through the Green Heroes Wildlife Adoption Program, which we also participated in last year when we adopted our lovely little joey "Rosie". This is Mark's story -... This little fluff ball is Mark. Mark was rescued by Bear (pictured) a hero rescue dog, who helped find and rescue over 100 koalas in the days and weeks following the bushfires. Mark was the smallest koala rescued - at 2kg, he should have been still with his mum. He had burns from bushfires on all 4 paws. He is recovering well, but will remain in long term care at Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust before he can safely be released back into his bush home. Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust was burnt to the ground during the peak of the bushfire season last summer. Tragically, two firefighters lost their lives defending the sanctuary during the fires. Koala Mark has been named in memory of one of these men. Two Thumbs has worked to rebuild from scratch since January and relies heavily on the support and goodwill of the community to continue to rescue, raise and rehabilitate koalas affected by bushfires, drought and human impact. We will receive updates across the remainder of the year on how our little "Mark" continues to grow, and we will be able to use this information to engage the children in a variety of rich learning opportunities.

14.01.2022 Due to our Public Holiday on Friday 14th this week, we are commemorating Red Nose Day on Thursday 13th here at Elm Tree! Please help us to support further research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome by dressing your children in red if they attend on Thursday, and also bringing a Gold Coin Donation. 13.01.2022 Our beautiful outdoor original art by Billie from Billie Musk Indigenous Consultancy. A big THANKYOU to Billie and Lucas for delivering this to us yesterday afternoon - it is already a huge hit this morning as a backdrop to all of the 'cooking' happening in the sandpit. Once we are completely back to normal, Billie will be coming into our lovely Elm Tree over the coming months to spend time with the Educators and children to give them lots of information on the local aboriginal history of our area, and helping us to truly embed this into daily routines and programs.
