21.01.2022 Who is in Need in Hobart Tasmania? Do you want to make a difference? During this Covid 19 season, international students are doing it tough. Our heart has gone out to all international students, including many of those from the sub continent: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Casual jobs have dried up. Parents and family at home are facing tough economic times and financial support is hard. Some students have $0. Others have a few weeks before their money runs out. Students are studying, feeling alone, and anxious about meeting weekly bills.

Unfortunately the bathroom, laundry/shower is down some stairs, off the rear veranda; which means wheelchair / disability access is temporarily inaccessible. 14.01.2022 What a great option. Wish they had this when I had my two! One thing is for sure, they wouldn’t have spent the money on this if it wasn’t backed up by research. Many studies show that water immersion helps to relieve muscle tension, helps mum relax and reduces the need for pain management / intervention. We all know how good a hot shower or bath is!

Evidence dates massage back to ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt & Mesopotamia, as well as more recently during world war one and two, as part of soldier medical rehabilitation programmes. We may have different techniques and training in different cultures, or no training at all when we stroke a loved one, or rub a sore leg when a child falls.
