The Americans brought over their Balsa Malibu boards to Australia and that’s when we moved away from Duke. The Hotel’s brand new restaurant, Balsa , also pays homage to the influence the board had in Australia. Under the watchful eye of head Chef , Adam Rust, salt , wood and smoke will dominate the kitchen. Like the way Balsa influenced our surf culture, there’ll be West Coast American influence in the food , cooking style, flavours and ingredients There philosophy of the Habord hotel is they use best , ethical local produce , to serve you classic pub fare with a coastal twist.
