01.01.2022 I joined the likes of REKA ONE and Shawn Lu for the 3rd iteration of The Operatives T-Shirt series. Each artists brief is dependant on their individual styles.... I fused some wild fonts and colatted a bonafide list of The Operatives top 10 spots for after gig snacks. THE LIST AND WINNERS The list was compiled by a collective of DJs, producers, singers and songwriters, radio hosts, audio engineers, photographers, videographers, writers and artists from The Operatives gene pool. This collective are responsible for infusing lots of late night bars and clubs with electronic and soulful sounds. The hours of labour leave them in the best position to find a good bite after a long night. Butchers Diner - CBD China Bar - CBD Shujinko Ramen - CBD Massive Wieners - Prahran Stalactites Restaurant - CBD Embassy Cafe - West Melb. Danny's Burgers - Fitzroy Noodle Kingdom - CBD Ling Nam - CBD Nam Loong - CBD T-Shirts are $22 and sold exclusively at The Ops Merchi store: https://theoperatives.merchi.co/products/41302/ CONTROVERSY Fitzroy Kebabs and Supper Inn were knocked off after JPS made a presidents call and wanted Nam Loong and Ling Nam to make the cut. The McDonalds in Victoria Rd, Collingwood was knocked out of contention although it did pole high. I wanted French / Aussie bakery in Fitzroy St, St Kilda but it only pulled a few votes. DESIGN Front - The inspiration for the front design was sourced from the Gerry's Pittes van, with its amazing hand drawn font, black drop shadow and faded pink fill. People have raved about the pittes, but now they revel in the font. Rear - The rear print displays the top 10 list, ranked from top to bottom, as voted by The Operatives and others in a social media campaign. Designed to look like a band tour t-shirt.
