25.01.2022 Another great educational video from ABC life. I have found these can be great for young girls that are just starting to get their period. Modibodi also does swimwear.
25.01.2022 We are currently living in a very stressful time but if we look after and protect each other it will eventually pass. At the current time it is more important than ever to find a bit of space during the day or multiple times a day to pause and breath. https://66.media.tumblr.com//tumblr_nsj9tcMOgY1qkv5xlo1_50
24.01.2022 We may be spending more time at home but we don't need to stay inside the house. Getting out in the garden, sitting out for morning tea or to read a book, is great for your mood and your immune system. https://www.forbes.com//why-sunlight-is-actually-good-fo/
24.01.2022 Following up on a couple of requests from patients who would rather not come in personally - either feeling ill or vulnerable - Emily and Mitch will be availabl...e for phone consultations. Obviously for Chinese herbal medicine prescriptions only. And no, although they can't check your pulse, it is possible that you'll be able to send a selfie of your tongue - once we work out the logistics..... Consults will be about 20 mins and cost $65 ($55 conc) plus medicines which can be picked up by someone or we can leave them in the box in the front porch. Please phone the clinic to make a phone appt. rather than booking online. Klaus will be available if and when he's let back into the country!
23.01.2022 You may be aware of foods high in probiotics, but prebiotics are just as important! Think of your gut as a garden, the prebiotics would be the fertiliser! Our... bodies are incapable of digesting prebiotics when they are eaten, the bacteria in your gut ferments them along your GI tract. This helps good gut bacteria grow (feeds the probiotics), which can help promote healthy digestion, help absorb nutrients, increase your immune function, and combat inflammation (just to name a few!) As with probiotics, you can take prebiotics in supplement form, and there are also lots of yummy foods that contain prebiotics. Weve listed some of our favourites that can easily make a regular appearance in your diet! Side note, the less that foods are cooked, the greater the prebiotic content
22.01.2022 I am always on the look out for great healthy options to help mix up the routine. If you are also looking for some new ideas check these out. Thanks Phil for sharing.

20.01.2022 If you have Flu or cold like symptoms please call us to organise a phone consult for acupressure or herbs as we will not be treating these conditions in the clinic until further notice.
20.01.2022 I made this soup over the weekend. You don't need a Thermomix to make it just a blender for certain parts. I altered it to suit what I had on had and what would suit my family. The two biggest changes that I made was a little dried chilli rather than fresh and I used a Turmeric Chai spice mix from Bunbartha beef. This was a great little mix with Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, fennel, liquorice root and more. This is not a recipe for you if you don't like spice.

09.01.2022 Well our cross between a ratatouille and a veg bake was definitely a hit with the adults but I may need to do some more convincing with the kids, however pairing it with crumbed chicken breast did help.

08.01.2022 Research has confimed that the skin act as an immediate stress perceiver and as a target of stress response. The skin is a primary sensing organ for external st...ressors. It is also a local source that can induce various immune and inflammatory responses Pyschological stress arises when people are under mental, physical or emotional pressure. It is perceived by the brain and stress hormones such as corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), glucocorticoids and epinephrine are released. This triggers a wide range of physiological changes and responses that try to adapt the body to the stress Stress conditions exert their effects to skin via the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Stress has long been suspected to induce acne flares through the role of skin peripheral HPA axis. Studies had shown that CHR promotes up-regulation of key enzyme and contributing to inflammation PMID 24853682 The key message to take away from this is to find a balance between work and life and, try not to stress/be frustrated about your acne. By shifting your mindset and focus on the positives, it may help reduce the exacerbation and severity of your acne If you have tried everything but haven't explore Chinese herbal medicine to manage acne, have a chat with me. 04.01.2022 Fertility and IVF is a roller coaster of emotions and everyone copes in their own way. It is virtually important is such a stressful time to get good supports around you and if unsuccessful it is important to allow yourself to grieve for what could have been.

01.01.2022 Coles currently has the best looking ginger I have seen for ages, so get it while its fresh. When it looks this good and the skin is nearly translucent dont even worry about peeling just wash, chop and basically use in everything! If you dont use it all then in the freezer it goes.
