25.01.2022 An exciting position has opened up at my boutique home hair salon for a highly experienced and passionate, qualified hairdresser. The position is a temporary, 12 month casual position working approximately 8-10 hours per week, with the opportunity to do more if you wish to grow your own clientele. It would ideally suit someone wanting to get out of a salon and into a relaxed environment or a mum wanting to gently ease back into work. 25.01.2022 Starting 2020 off with a flashback I found last night. This is my mum, working as an apprentice for her brother at what I've always known as "Geoff's" salon. Geoff was a well known hairdresser in my home town of Ballarat and someone I have always wanted to be like, all of the stories I've ever heard was that he was a firm, but fun boss, everyone loved working there and the staff still to this day all still catch up. And boy, could he cut hair!!

24.01.2022 R U Okay Day. A great little reminder to check in with your friends and make sure they are okay. As someone who struggles with mental health issues there is nothing kinder than having someone ask if your alright, and be open to listen to you. Even though your issues might seem silly to them, to you, silly little things can be a big deal.

23.01.2022 Due to the current situation unfolding in the world I would like to advise my clients of the following changes in the salon for the safety of you and myself. If you are unwell, at all, or have been in close contact with someone who is unwell I ask that you please re schedule your appointment. All clients will be asked to wash their hands on arrival, hand sanitiser will also be available. ... The salon will be re arranged so there is a safe distance between each client. Anyone having a cut only will be required to have their hair washed on arrival. All Combs, brushes, towels and wraps will continue be thoroughly cleaned between clients, and all chairs, side tables, door handles will be disinfected after each client. Disposable cups will be provided for your beverages. Magazines will no longer be provided so please bring along your own book, or I will have a movie on for you. I will also be leaving the door open as much as I can to continue a fresh flow of air through the salon. I will also be asking that I have no more than 4 people in the building at one time, so if you have family or friends with you they may be asked to wait in the car rather than in the waiting area. Until I am advised otherwise business shall continue as normal as possible, so I can keep making you look beautiful. Thank you. Emily

05.01.2022 Due to the current unfolding situation I have decided to close the salon until at least the end of the school holidays and will re assess the situation at that time. Unfortunately it is impossible for me to safely distance myself from you whilst doing your hair and therefore for the safety of my clients and myself I have decided to make this hard decision. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause my clients, I hate that I can't make you feel beautiful during this tim...e and I hope you can understand I am not making this decision lightly.
