25.01.2022 The Emmanuel Environmental Committee was established in 2019 by two senior students who are passionate about the environment. They have introduced a manifesto that the College has adopted to become more sustainable and in the past year they have introduced Containers for Change bins into the Senior School which has resulted in 4650 containers being saved from landfill. In addition to this, they have partnered with a well-known local business that is eager to support the Col...lege in our mission to become more sustainable. Biome Eco Stores are offering all Emmanuel families a 15% discount off all sustainable products from their Southport store. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase sustainable products to help reduce the use of plastic in our lunchboxes, such as Ziploc bags and clingwrap. Please present this voucher at the Southport Biome store - offer valid till 30 June 2021. See more

23.01.2022 Today Emmanuel hosted the Gold Coast division of the Fuse Cup eSports League and there was great excitement when two Year 6 students, Ryan and Jonty, won the tournament!! They competed alongside six fellow Year 6 team-mates against 16 other students from visiting schools. Ryan and Jonty took out the Grand Final, with a 4-3 win in Rocket League, a team-based vehicle-soccer game. The Federation of United Schools eSports (FUSE) Cup is a nationwide network of schools connected in providing young students with an opportunity to participate in safe, supportive and structured international eSports competitions while developing positive gaming behaviours and digital wellbeing. Congratulations Ryan, Jonty and the rest of the team and thanks to Mr Savery, Head of eLearning for supporting them.

16.01.2022 Our inaugural Battle of the Bands of Friday took place on Friday afternoon and it was wonderful to see so many students and teachers involved. Congratulations to the winning house - Luther. The competition was tough, with only 6 points between 1st and 4th place. See final results and acknowledgments on Schoolbox newsfeed.
16.01.2022 Students have been encouraged to ensure they don't leave any valuables in their lockers out of school hours and especially over the holidays, as we have recently had some external kids come onto the Emmanuel campus, out of hours, and tamper with lockers that were left unlocked. Some valuable items have been stolen and the thieves have also taken items of clothing and hats and are wearing them in public. We are encouraging students to empty and LOCK their lockers, especially during the holidays and over the weekends next term. If anyone recognises these thieves, please contact Mrs Riley on [email protected]
15.01.2022 This week a group of Year 11 Digital Solutions students were awarded the National 'Education and Student Solution of the Year' for their Auslan Gesture Translator. It was a 'State of Origin' with the best innovations from each state. On the way to winning the Nationals, they had to compete against 7 university teams who were either Honours or Ph.D. projects and beat all other school entries state-wide and nationally. This achievement is especially significant as it is recognised as Australia's premier technology awards program, organised by Australia's peak IT and Innovation body for the ICT industry.
14.01.2022 Digital Solutions students WIN Global Competition! Hot off the Press....This group of our Year 12 Digital Solutions students are the global winners of the Microsoft Showcase Schools Innovative Design Category of the 'Tech For Good' Challenge. This global competition saw over 60 entries from the other 325 Global Showcase Schools from 58 countries around the world. The winners were celebrated on Microsoft’s E2 Conference today which had over 8000 people ‘virtually’ in attendance from around the world. What an incredible achievement - well done to Lachlan, Fletcher, Elijah and Alexei.
13.01.2022 Whilst students were unable to invite their Grandparents to spend time on campus with them this term, they have put together this video to show just how much they love and appreciate their support.
12.01.2022 Students and staff alike revelled in the opportunity to enjoy a day dressed up as their Favourite Book Character. There were so many amazing costumes and we wish we could share them all with you, however here is a snapshot of some that we captured. Well done and thank you to all the students, staff and parents who put in such a huge effort and demonstrated the love we all share for books and their incredible characters. Thanks to our Library team for putting this on and for continually encouraging and inspiring our students to love reading.
