24.01.2022 Great seminar last week, after border security, food security is the next big ticket, we need to do more. http://www.indigoshire.vic.gov.au//20160908_teissl_food_co

24.01.2022 I introduced a divestment strategy last year at Indigo Shire and some councillors today still baulk at it, yet one of the worlds largest economies with ten times our population are achieving the goal and more ! https://www.treehugger.com//germany-got-85-its-electricity

14.01.2022 At the last meeting of Indigo Shire l submitted a report on the need for the council to produce a Regional Food Strategy after a conference i attended in Melbourne. I believe that we should at least eat some of the food we produce and support the local people that provide it. What's relevant to me is that next to border security, food security is another big issue. Issue two is that councillors are quick to ask for a report from the CEO and executive however they continue to go to seminars and conferences, but bring nothing back. If elected this is going to change, if the ratepayers are footing the bill they should know why & what for. Thoughts??

14.01.2022 As you consider who to vote for in the upcoming Indigo Shire Council elections please take the time to check out my video.

14.01.2022 As food gets harder to source we should appreciate what we grow locally more, and learn that our farmers and our local produce are undervalued.

06.01.2022 Times are changing at a very rapid pace & not always for the better. As an Early Childhood Educator and Ambulance Community Officer I have seen many members of our community struggle with the reality of COVID-19. It has never been more important than now to devote resources into mental health before the struggle to cope gets worse.

05.01.2022 Last day to talk about this issue .

05.01.2022 Being a volunteer isn’t always convenient, looks like the pager has gone off and the wife has left me to cook her dinner. Well done Katrina Teissl maybe my turn next time .

03.01.2022 I received these nice words of appreciation in a message from a great bloke who founded Blazeaid. Such a worthy cause that supports a lot of communities effected by unfortunate circumstances. All the best in the coming elections Emmerick- Thankyou for being so proactive and efficient in inviting BlazeAid and the ongoing support of BlazeAid Vols and your local volunteers with the rebuilding after the 2015 Indigo fires. Your pragmatism was really appreciated- just wish that o...ther communities in Aust. Would be as community resilient to natural disasters as what yours did/was in 2016! 02.01.2022 So the government can find 20k for first home buyers but not the homeless, many of our emergency personnel struggling with high levels of stress and depression and our servicemen!

02.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone involved in the Barnawartha bush fire recovery process.
