Renee and Elle @dixonandsmith dreamed up the most joyous display, featuring red and hot pink metallic streamers on mass with glistening lights in all the colours of the rainbow. If you look closely you will see Elle’s magnificent brush strokes across the top p...anes of glass creating a lead light type effect with a message of JOY peeking through, wishing you all happiness and positivity as we welcome 2021. 09.01.2022 DARCIE // I remember the day I met Darcie like it was yesterday. She was happily browsing in store and I was taken a back by her warm and friendly nature. I noted her name badge, Darcie from Adairs. Months later we were recruiting for a Store Manager when THAT girls resume landed on my desk. Within 24 hours that doc marten wearing gal and I met and I somehow persuaded her to leave her steady job to come on a wild journey with me. She said she was re...ady for a new adventure and challenge and what a journey the past 18 months have been! Neither of us could have predicted what would unfold in the coming months. New baby pandemic and though all of it.... Darcie was there. She was always there. Processing phone and web orders while we closed our shop front (due to covid) while I delivered parcels in the afternoons while my 8 week old baby slept. A teammate, helping to keeping the ship sailing in the wildest storm I had experienced both personally and in my business. Words can not express my gratitude to you. The last year has been the most challenging journey yet and although it’s been a uncertain and chaotic time it’s also created one of the most magical relationships I have experienced. This gals soul is full of sunshine and fiercely loyal and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you Darcie, it’s been an absolute privilege to work with you and I truely wish you the best in your new adventure in QLD. I will remember our time together fondly and have many happy memories and will miss you more than you know. I wish you all the happiness in the world x Renee

01.01.2022 Mother’s Day. I have always thought that Mother’s Day was a lovely day to thank my mum for all she has done for me. But now, after having a baby earlier this year, this day means so much more to me. A realisation of the commitment, support, endless nurturing and love I was given (and continue to receive). I also now think about how she too experienced the challenging nights and days filled with the anxiety of being a new mum, as well as the sleep deprivation that feels it w...ill never end. I feel so blessed to be able to experience being a mum to our beautiful boy - but also have a much greater respect for what a huge role both mums and dads play in raising tiny humans.
