25.01.2022 YOU MUST DREAM BIG If it doesn’t challenge you......it won’t change you. Don’t underestimate your potential. Why stay in your comfort zone when you were created for so much more?

16.01.2022 CORE STRENGTH - WHY is it important? Having visible abs does not always mean you have a strong core. Over the last year I have changed my focus from looking aesthetic to actually wanting strong abdominal muscles. Why? Because your core muscles are the base support for your entire body. A weak core can contribute to an increased risk of injury when training - especially in your lower back (e.g. deadlifts, squats). Having a strong core will improve your form during exercise AND improve your posture! When I tell clients to use their core when doing exercise e.g. push ups, they are always pleasantly surprised by how much it helps them perform! Core training is so beneficial and definitely one of my favourite things to do, I will post some of my favourite exercises soon!

07.01.2022 Work WITH Your Body - Not AGAINST It A couple of weeks ago I went to a yoga class and one thing my teacher said really stuck with me..... - You will see the best results when you learn to listen to your body and work with it. -... I have definitely experienced this first hand. I used to train 6 days a week, restricting my calories, 4-5 hours sleep, never stretching. I thought I was doing everything right, no pain no gain hey? Well no. I was definitely not seeing results and I was getting more and more frustrated. Little did I know the stress I was causing on my body was actually putting me BACKWARDS. - Your body WANTS to be healthy. It is your birth right to be healthy. You have to trust that your body knows what to do and LISTEN to it if you want to see changes. This means: REST when you are tired NOURISH your body (Yes you actually need to eat) HYDRATE (Drink water!!) SLEEP (7-8 hours) STRETCH and ensure you warm up & cool down CALM DOWN (Try to stress less - Stress is a major factor that can stop you from seeing changes) - It sucks that we may grow up believing that exercise and eating good feels like punishment. If anything, NOT treating your body right is a form of punishment. - Most importantly, change your mindset to I deserve to live a healthy life, and exercise & eating good will become less of a punishment and more of an exciting part of your life (Also, sorry for inactivity recently, keen to get posting again )

06.01.2022 Change your story, Change your life Pay attention to what stories and negative beliefs you are telling yourself, as they are holding you back On a side note, Tony Robbins is probably one of my biggest inspirations in life haha. I love going for walks and listening to him shout motivational stuff into my ears If you’re looking for a good podcast, definitely listen to some of his!

03.01.2022 GROWTH IS NEVER LINEAR Sometimes we get so focused on how far we have to go, that we forget how far we have actually come. - When I was 17 I had my first ever PT session at a gym. My only real goal was to have abs and lose weight which is pretty generic but honestly I had no idea and just copied what everyone else seemed to want. I thought that most people went to a gym just to lose weight. Back then I was VERY unfit and had pretty much 0 muscle. I fainted every sin...gle session for at least a month I couldn’t do a single push up. My squats were awful and made me feel dizzy. Running was a big no. I had absolutely no core strength and the thought of a sit up was enough to make my abs hurt. I had absolutely no knowledge on anything fitness related, I remember my PT saying if you want to get toned you have to eat more and I remember thinking ummm did you not hear my goal was to LOSE weight? Why would I eat MORE??? - Over the last few years my progress has definitely not been linear. I ended up leaving that gym and then joining another a few months later (and repeating this for the next 3 years oops). Always swapping between gyms and programs. Over the last few years I have experienced over-training and under-eating, and then the complete opposite of giving up exercise and binge eating. - It’s never going to be easy, but it IS worth it - especially when you get to look back and see that you DO have it in you do to amazing things. Growth is a PROCESS and you just gotta buckle up for the journey. Every experience has a purpose and is there to help you grow and get better. So if you feel like giving up, just remember that hard times are all part of the experience. One day you’ll look back and be so glad you didn’t give up See more
