25.01.2022 At Emu Creek we are very fortunate to have wonderful teacher aides who support our students and staff. This year we say a huge thank you to Mrs Donnelly, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Morris and Ms Petersen. Thank you for everything you do for us, you help make Emu Creek a great place to grow!

24.01.2022 Today we celebrate Cleaner's Day, a day to acknowledge the effort and hard-work of our cleaners. This has never been more evident than the last few months as they have shown extra care and attention to detail to keep us all healthy and safe. We are truly grateful

24.01.2022 ****COVID-19 UPDATE***** As of after school today, the Education Department has issued a directive to schools regarding staff members who have visited the Greater Brisbane area since the 20th March. Some of our staff will be on leave and isolating at home for the 3 days from 5pm today.... If you have visited the greater Brisbane area since the 20th March, you have been directed by Queensland Health to isolate at home until 5pm Thursday 1st April. If this is the case for you and your children, please text the school absence line to confirm this. The Starlab rewards day will go ahead as scheduled tomorrow. Cross Country will go ahead on Wednesday with some changes. There will be no catering available and parents are asked to spectate from their cars on the Eastern side of Pilton SS. If you are entering the school grounds to use the toilets you will need to scan the QR code available on site. A decision about the Easter Bonnet Parade will be made tomorrow.

24.01.2022 U8 Day on Friday was fantastic. Thank you to Clifton SS and staff for hosting this day with a variety of great activities that our students enjoyed.

24.01.2022 It’s time to commemorate Anzac Day and Light up the Dawn.

24.01.2022 We love school especially when we have Go-Karts! Today we welcomed back our 3-6 students with a Go-Kart ride on the oval. We will continue our Go-Kart rides at lunch time this week. Students must have their own helmet to participate.

23.01.2022 Check out our suggestions for Playgroup activities to do at home! Unfortunately due to current restrictions Playgroup will be postponed until further notice. Please stay at home, wash your hands and enjoy time with your family so we can all get back together soon. We will add activities you can do from home each week, make sure you check back each Monday!

20.01.2022 Resilience is my superpower! Thanks Chappy for putting together this week's challenge - a focus on resilience. In my chats with parents this week, I've loved hearing your stories about how you've supported your child/ren to be resilient during these times. Both worksheets will be available in our ELearn class - Can't wait to see how fox and raccoon's picture turn out! If you would like Chappy to give you a call, please let us know.

20.01.2022 What a fantastic week! Our y3-6 returned, we celebrated Chappy Week, many rides on the Go-Kart and today we finished with free dress and a sausage sizzle.

16.01.2022 Today's fun run was all about friendship and fun! It was great to see the enjoyment and hear everyone saying "Best day ever!" Stay tuned for some more photos this weekend. Fun Run certificates and parade will now be Monday afternoon.

16.01.2022 Thank you Juiced Up Groms for a fantastic show! Our school students loved the interactive games and learned about healthy eating. The smoothie at the end was delicious.

14.01.2022 Prep 2021 Enrolments now open! Emu Creek is a great place for your child to grow. Emu Creek will be conducting a variety of activities to support your child as they transition to school through our Step into Prep program. Families that have children starting Prep in 2021, please contact our school on 46 971 171 to collect Enrolment Application forms.

12.01.2022 We reading. Today we participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. Across Australia, students stopped to listen to the online reading of Whitney and Britney Diva Chickens.

11.01.2022 Our new rock garden near A Block. 3-6 have enjoyed painting the individual rocks to form E.C.S.S as part of their art lessons. It looks great! Thank you to those families who have donated some succulents - we will be adding these to our feature rock garden soon.

07.01.2022 The Easter Bonnet Parade is such a wonderful tradition at Emu Creek SS. The effort of students and parents made for a delightful parade full of colour and fun. Congratulations to our award winners too! Thank you to Councillor Carol Taylor for joining us as guest judge!

07.01.2022 Can’t wait to share our certificates for IMPACT. Over the last 12 weeks our students have been participating in an extension writing program through EQ’s Impact Centre called Just Write! I am extremely thankful to our parents who have continued this program during home-based learning. Last week, I received an email from the principal of the Impact Centre congratulating our school students for their excellent attendance over the last 5 weeks. Well done Emu Creek!
