17.01.2022 It’s been nine months since COVID-19 began to turn the world around, and since then we’ve all been forced to adapt and improvise to try and overcome these new challenges. But those who are working in humanitarian careers perhaps face some of the most unique challenges of all - so how are they adapting to this strange, COVID-19 world we’ve found ourselves in? This year we can’t bring you to our annual Humanitarian Gala, but we can still bring you insights from esteemed humanit...arians working in a range of fields, and the opportunity to connect and network with like minded individuals! Join EWB UQ, Effective Altruism UQ, Enactus UQ, GEMS UQ, Oxfam UQ, QUT Red Cross Society and UQ Red Cross Society as we explore how the humanitarian and sustainable sector has been forced to evolve this year due to the challenges posed by COVID-19. Students will be offered the chance to connect and learn from people from a variety of areas - from the public health sector, to the refugee crisis, to the reef, there is sure to be something for everyone! The night will include a diverse panel discussion to learn about the firsthand experiences from high achievers in their field, as well as the opportunity to ask questions in smaller groups. 04.01.2022 It is with sadness we notify our members that we will be suspending activities until further notice for obvious reasons. Although UQ Venture's Social Enterprise Program will be continuing for this week, Enactus Execs will not be in attendance, nor will we be attending our own classes, and we wish to place no pressure on Enactus members to come if you are feeling worried. It is important during this time that you decide your own course of action regarding attendance regardless of what any administration states. We sincerely wish you all the best and hope to be back as soon as possible.
