15.01.2022 1 year ago today Thanks to dance... we have 2 families To say this year has been hard is an understatement but we have something that no amount of time away from classes will take from us! And thats our dance family!... When you are missing those dance nights, the costumes, the routines, the preparations for a showcase and the excitement of end of year, remember that the thing we love most about EDC is each other - Our dance family and we still have that!!! If youre missing the friendships and love reach out to us and dont forget you can join our social chats on Wednesdays to catch up with one another!!! Missing our dance fam but so thankful no distance can tear us apart! Who else cant wait for the day we are all back together again!! What a celebration that will be!!!

14.01.2022 Today many of us will stop and reflect on Good Friday and what that means for us! If you would like to tune into a Good Friday Service there are now many out there online! 10.01.2022 Our musical theatre teacher Campbell is giving up his time to go and look after kids on schoolies with an organisation called Red Frogs! Campbell has been out of work most of this year (with EDC having minimal classes online and working as a life guide with the council) both jobs not allowing him to receive any money from the government this year! If you feel led, we would love to encourage Campbell as a community as he goes to serve and love the young people! He will nee...d to pay for food and accomodation whilst volunteering and we know every little bit helps! We know the schoolies kids will love you getting along side them Campbell!! :)

08.01.2022 LET US DANCE After 6 months of online classes, yesterday Victorian dance schools were advised that dance studios fall under the Creative Studios category meaning we would be back to dance much sooner. GREAT RIGHT!?... Within hours the Government has backflipped and thousands of students, business owners and teachers hopes have been crushed again. ... Did you know dance is the most popular recreational activity for girls and second highest overall in Victoria, kids all over our state are desperate to get back to dance, to get back to a place of safety and a place they can release their emotions through the art of dance. When the third step opens in Melbourne (October 26th) kids will be back at school Childcares will be running Outdoor contact sport can resume for people U18 Community facilities and libraries will open Creative Studios will open But still, our students cant dance! Dancers learn social distancing from a young age! Learning to stay in their positions and dancing in their own space. All studio owners know our students would have much less contact in our dance classes then children on the football or soccer field. Heres how you can you help... -Get in touch with your local MP, let them know how this is affecting you or your children -Contact anyone you can in parliament and the media to express these affects -Sign the petitions you see about getting back to dance Thanks for all your support! #letusdance Dan Andrews
