20.01.2022 Design Showcase: Tropikal See website: www.tropikal.life The company is a subsidiary of Expolanka PLC, and their primary business lies in the export of local produce. Their range extends from organic coconut products, such as coconut oil, desiccated coconut, coconut cream to dried fruits and vegetables, fruit juices etc. ... The company wanted to build a new web presence to target corporate clients in markets such as America, Europe and the Middle East. Rather than going with a traditional corporate web site, we decided to work on one which communicated the tropical feel of the Sri Lanka; a more informal site where users would feel more relaxed and get a sense of where the produce comes from. At the same time, we wanted to help communicate a fresher, zestier culture of the company to their potential clients. Unlike traditional corporate sites, the focus is not on information, but rather on perception.

Giddy after the holiday celebrations, Sri Lankans woke up on the morning of Sunday the 21st of April, to a nightmare of unimagined proportions, the single largest terrorist attack on civilians committed on our soil. Over 310 innocent people perished from the attacks, and devasted with them are the lives of hundre...ds of families. Over 500 others were injured, and make no mistake, their suffering will be no less, the wounds of that day will live with them for the rest of their existence. For millions of other peace-loving citizens in Sri Lanka, and the rest of the world that share this grief with us; I know this time we feel hopeless, like the essence of life itself has just evaporated, replaced with a dull, burdened existence. We have already suffered for decades and yet we are even asked to suffer more; it is unfair there is no doubt it about it, but it is our reality and we have to live with.
