23.01.2022 We are in the process of Implementing a register to record the names and contact details of every person who walks through the main gate to assist where contact tracing is needed. Clean all commonly touched surfaces such as door knobs, toilets, chairs and tennis equipment. Install signage to indicate requirements around the club and at the entrance. Have hand sanitizer available so members can use this on entry and exit of the Club. Ensure gates leading onto the courts remain... open to minimise physical contact. Finally, we would like to thank all members for their cooperation and patience during this testing time. We will be doing all we can this weekend to ensure the Club can reopen next week in a safe and clean environment. We can’t wait to see our courts full of players enjoying their tennis very soon. Regards, EHTC Committee

21.01.2022 Good luck to all our teams competing in the WDTA summer season commencing tomorrow. Remember to stay safe and Social distance.

17.01.2022 We are extremely disappointed by Premier Daniel Andrews announcement that all tennis facilities are to remain closed as we move to Step 2 of the Government's COVID-19 Recovery Roadmap. We firmly believe that tennis, a physically distanced non-contact sport, can return safely to provide health and wellbeing opportunities to support people through isolation. We have our fingers and toes crossed that in three week’s time we get the go ahead to reopen our gates. In the meanti...me, we wait with a lot of patience and hope that good things come to those who wait. Keep keeping well and taking care of each other, we’re on the home stretch. #tennis #tennisvictoria #endeavourhills #covid_19 #victorian

17.01.2022 If you are playing tennis it is essential that you text your full name to 0492 167 472 so that we can keep track of visitors to our club. Thanks for your cooperation

17.01.2022 Hello Members. With the introduction of Stage 4 restrictions, EHTC must reluctantly close it's facilities for the next six weeks. It’s certainly not ideal by any means, but please try and look at the positives..... at least this is happening during Winter! ... Thanks in advance to ALL members for your patience during this frustrating time. Stay safe, stay connected Regards, Reuben. #tennisvictoria #tennisaustralia #endeavourhills #endeavourhillsshoppingcentre #endeavourhillslocals

17.01.2022 Following the State Government's decision to lockdown all of the Melbourne Metropolitan areas and the Mitchell Shire, competition tennis is now 'out' for us all.... Community competition tennis is cancelled until further notice however, outdoor courts may remain open for LIMITED casual play consisting of members of the same household or for 2 people from different households. Coaching for members of the same household or one to one coaching can also continue. Your local council may also have additional restrictions but thankfully this time, we can continue to play in a safe manner. Waverley Tennis recommends that the Tennis Victoria website be regularly checked for further updates. Waverley Tennis regrets the sorry state that tennis finds itself in within the Melbourne Metropolitan areas due to COVID-19. Waverley Tennis President, Mark Collins, and Van Placidi, Secretary, wish to thank all Affiliates, and their junior and senior convenors for their patience, cooperation and time spent in submitting and reviewing team selections and player availabilities in hope and anticipation of the launch of a shortened Winter Season 2020 planned to start on the weekend after next. Also much credit must go to the Waverley Tennis Match Committee personnel of Trevor Smyth, Ian Chanter, David Kimberley, Margaret Quigley, Tina Feely and Marcos Ahumada for their combined dedicated efforts with the draw in an endeavour to get us all back competing on the courts for a Winter Season. Stay safe all

05.01.2022 Great news Members! EHTC will be reopening this afternoon at 1pm. You will notice a few important changes around the Club:... - Sanitisers have been installed - Gates have been tied back - Signage has been put up We also require EVERYONE to register their attendance each time they walk into the Club by texting your full name to 0492 167 472. This will assist where contact tracing is needed. Please take note of the signage so we can help minimise the effects and spread of Covid-19. The Clubhouse must remain locked for the interim but the public toilet will be accessible to Members. Initially, the courts will ONLY be open to members, each member is entitled to 1 guest (non member). If all proceeds correctly, the courts will reopen to non-members on 1st June. Once again, thank you for your patience during this period. Regards, Reuben. #tennis #tennisvictoria #endeavourhillstennisclub #endeavourhillslocals #endeavourhills

01.01.2022 Hello Members, hope you're all well and coping during restrictions. It has been a while since the last post, but finally I can give you some positive news. Earlier today. the Premier announced outdoor tennis facilities can resume operating as of midnight tonight...........finally!!... Tennis Victoria are yet to make an announcement but I'm sure they will request that the following guidelines are enforced: As a general rule, Get in. Play. Get out. - Maintain 1.5 metres physical distancing at all times. - No handshakes or High Fives, try tapping racquets instead. - Wash/sterilise your hands before and after you play - Avoid touching your face while playing. - Bring your own equipment and don’t share. - Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow. - Clean any surfaces you touch after play. With regards to Contact tracing, it is imperative that EVERYONE who enters our Club regardless of whether you are playing, spectating or visiting, texts their name to: 0492 167 472. This will cover the Club should an outbreak re-occur. Unfortunately the Clubhouse will remain closed until further notice but the Public toilet will remain accessible. Thanks to all of you for your patience during this challenging period. Keep safe and look out for one another. Regards, Reuben.

Stay safe. Regards, Reuben.
