22.01.2022 Join the 2021:The year for Community Energy Webinar. We've been advocating to the Queensland government to increase support for community energy projects. There's so much we could do wth some support, from assisting community groups to develop their ow projects, run workshops, improves access to solar and batteries for renters and low income households, adapt houses for climate change, increase energy efficiency for rental properties and improve energy literacy to reduce the cost of living, not to mention add energy efficiency jobs and opportunities to the post-COVID recover plans. If you're not already, please join our friends at the Coalition for Community Energy in this webinar. https://mailchi.mp//c4ce-news-national-community-energy-pl

21.01.2022 Some good news on the large scale renewables front today. This is actually pretty good news! https://reneweconomy.com.au/palaszczuk-announces-investmen/ The government also released an updated economic recovery plan. Hopefully they'll update it again with more support for those who need it, especially solar and energy efficiency for renters and low-income households.

20.01.2022 This is good news!

04.01.2022 The QLD government is missing something in its post-COVID economic recovery package - solar for low-income households and energy efficiency. Social housing and private renters miss out on both. Introducing emPOWER Homes: a proposal from Solar Citizens, Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) and Queensland Conservation Council for a package that would install solar and energy efficient upgrades on social homes across Queensland, saving households up to $1,100 per year on their energy bills. We're one of 18 social and environmental organisations supporting this proposal. https://www.qcoss.org.au//2020/09/emPOWER-Homes-proposal-F
