09.01.2022 SELF CARE We've been taught from a young age that it is selfish to put ourself first To feel a certain guilt if we are not thinking of others first... That it is wrong for us to want to take time out to slow down & take care of ourself To say no once in a while instead of always saying yes to people But what if we were taught that its OK, that its actually normal to put ourself first sometimes What if we grew up KNOWING that self care was as normal & important as breathing BECAUSE IT IS What if we were taught from a young age to put ourself first like we are taught to walk, brush our teeth or dress ourselves Instead of putting ourselves last & only practicing self care when we've hit a wall or worse, rock bottom You are no good to anyone if you are strung out, tired & exhausted FILL YOUR CUP FIRST What is self care.. To me self care is anything that you do to pamper yourself, take care of yourself or make yourself feel good Things like Reading a book Having a facial Getting a massage Taking a bubble bath Getting your hair done Eating nourishing food Having a nap Baking Swimming Sleeping in Watching a movie Listening to a podcast or an audio Going for a walk Colouring in Getting a mani pedi Spending time with friends Relaxing in general Basically anything that makes your soul smile Its OK to take time for yourself Listen to your body & do whatever you feel called to do but make sure you take the time to do something for your self care Me... I love a good bubble bath with essential oils & candles How about you?

Just for a moment.. and ask WHAT IS MY HEARTS DESIRE WHAT MAKES ME SMILE FROM THE HEART . . . . . . . Do you feel it.. The little tug inside It's subtle at first.. It feels like butterflies It builds to a nervous excitement Until you are so excited your heart is full & bursting with anticipation Whatever makes you feel like THAT IS WHAT YOUR HEART & SOUL DESIRES
