24.01.2022 We wish all our students a healthy and happy holidays. The teaching team are working on continuing our learning interests through an inquiry around things in our garden for term 2 EFPK families should have received an email with a quick survey to help us plan for this. Please respond ASAP



24.01.2022 This week we continue our learning journey around Australia and Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people. Yesterday we acknowledged Sorry Day and the children decorated their hand prints to symbolise how we are working together to care for all the people in Australia and our land.

22.01.2022 Welcome to Enfield Folland Park Kindergarten for 2018. The first week of kindy starts tomorrow! We look forward to getting to know the Kurraka (magpie) children on Monday and the Kalta (sleepy lizard) children on Thursday. Just a reminder, for the first week of kindy the hours are from 8.30am-12.30pm.

22.01.2022 Even though Ive been away from the kindy and working in the DECD Learning Improvement Division for 8 months, tonight was my official and final goodbye to the EFPK community. It has been a privilege to lead this community full of beautiful children, dedicated parents and passionate educators. I feel a sense of pride when I see my vision reflected in the environment. Thank you for the beautiful speech, gift, hugs and thanks tonight, it means a lot! Ill take all the experiences and learning with me on my next adventure! (Thank you to this fabulous team who have worked so hard over the years for this community!)

13.01.2022 Term 4, week one began with children discussing the changes they noticed in the kindy environment and questions that they would like to investigate this term. We used our senses to answer one child's question about what clay feels like. We have also started exploring travelling and celebrations around the world.

11.01.2022 So far this term children are building a sense of belonging to our kindy family. Together, we are embracing our differences and similarities as we play and learn. We have taken an interest in rainbows; finding many ways to paint and draw with a mix of colours and even made a rainbow fruit salad. Children have also been curious about reptiles, insects, spiders and a cocoon that we found at kindy!

09.01.2022 Sneak preview of the contents of our "Learning Bags" designed to connect our EFPK term 2 curriculum with children who are learning from home. Just a friendly reminder to families to check emails regarding a survey about week 1 attendance (you can still respond!) and the "Learning from Home" program that we have carefully planned. Our inquiry into 'Things in our Garden' can be explored from our kindy garden or from home!

07.01.2022 Over term 1 at EFPK, the children have been learning about friendships and caring. We shared the kindy with Family Day Care children and the creatures from the Animal Capers incursion. Together, we have also been exploring nature, cooking, dancing, playing collaboratively and creating artwork together.

05.01.2022 The working bee was very productive! Thank you to the parents and staff that helped put new sand in the sandpit, fixed and cleaned up our pond, raked new bark chips around the veggie garden, varnished our wood furniture/equipment, contacted books and more!

04.01.2022 Next week we open for the first week of kindergarten in 2021 (Kurraka group on Thursday 28th January 8.15am-3.30pm and Kalta group on Friday 29th January 8.15am-3.30pm). It is a good time for parents/caregivers to read through our Information Booklet and Policy Book to prepare for the exciting year ahead at EFPK! 04.01.2022 Over the past few weeks it has been lovely to observe the increasing collaborative, creative and sensory play at EFPK. We have created various millipede homes, pictures by quilling paper, sand volcanoes, mud banquets and foamy fun!

03.01.2022 We have watched these babies hatch and will be caring for these chicks till the end of the week. The chicks will then be available for adoption on Friday the 13th. Please let staff know if you would like more information and if you can take two or more chicks home.

03.01.2022 Last week the children at EFPK had an excursion next door to the native woodland in Folland Park Reserve. We have enjoyed exploring nature and are learning about respecting plants, trees and creatures.

02.01.2022 We are all set to go for the first week of kindergarten for 2019! We are looking forward to getting to know all the children and families. Kurraka Group's first week: Tuesday 29th Jan 8.15 -12.30. (Closed for public holiday Monday). Kalta Groups first week: Thursday 31st Jan at 8.15 - 12.30 and Friday 1st Feb 8.15-12.30.... Please note: No lunch is required during week 1. Please provide a labelled healthy snack and drink bottle containing water, a labelled hat and a change of clothes.

02.01.2022 Harmony day is this week! This is where we celebrate our differences and come together to learn about cultures other than our own. https://www.harmony.gov.au/ The Kurraka group will celebrate on Tuesday the 20th of March.... The Kalta group will celebrate on Thursday the 22nd March. We would love families to join us for morning tea and bring a plate of food from their culture to share. The children will sing some songs for to families at 9am and then we will share our food together shortly after. The colour for Harmony day is orange so we invite the children to wear a splash of orange or they could wear clothing from their home culture. Agenda: 8:30am- Arrival 9:00am - Group songs. Families are welcome to say hello in their home language 9:15am- Shared morning tea inside 9.45- Morning tea concludes and children continue their usual kindy day

01.01.2022 The first two weeks of kindy have flown by! The children are settling in, making friends and exploring our environment.We have discovered creatures in our garden, climbed up and down the playground with our friends, built homes for babies, kept cool experimenting with water, investigated shadows and much more!
