24.01.2022 SUNSETS I have always been a sucker for a good sunset! One of my fave things to do from the 30 years spent living in Perth was going to the beach on a hot summers evening and watch the red sun sink down into the water in the horizon Nowdays rather than the beach, I get to witness the sky light up all around the mountains as it turns multiple shades of pink.... Last night we had a beauty at Moke Lake, with the reflections to match Where is your fave place to watch the sunset?

23.01.2022 TRAILS Took out my new @marinbikes for its first spin this afternoon, managing to catch a break in between all the rain! So nice to finally own a bike with suspension & smooth gears! Thanks to the team at @bikeaholicnz for setting me up with my new wheels ... Looking forward to trying out more of the hundreds of trails around QT Just need to work on the fitness part, so I can get up all the hills!!

23.01.2022 ROADTRIPS Last weeks adventure to the MacKenzie district sisnt disappoint. Heavy rain one day and clear blue skies with fresh snow on the mountains the next! #mtcook looking mighty fine against the turquoise waters of #lakepukaki, with a splash of the stunning #lupins for added measure. 22.01.2022 PARADISE With a name like that, you cant really go wrong Was blown away by the wild raw beauty of #Paradise, #Kinloch & #dartrivervalley on our adventure today. The Dart River Delta (& its other joining rivers) is bloody impressive thats for sure! With 360 mountain views in every direction and the remoteness of the area, you really do feel like you are the only person out there.... Hope to get a few of the hikes in when the ankle gets better soon! What are you up to this long weekend?

21.01.2022 BIKE TRAILS Have you done the Arrow River Bridges bike trail? This gorgeous scenic trail starts in Arrowtown and follows the Arrow river to Morven Ferry Road (and beyond). There are lots of cool big and small bridges it crosses over making for a great easy ride.... Theres place to stop for a picnic or for a dip in the water and for great views. 20.01.2022 LAUGHTER When was the last time you had a good laugh? And even more so, when was the last time you had a good laugh while having your photo taken?! Yep, thats right, no trick questions here! I bet its been a LONG time or maybe never?!? And that makes me sad... VERY sad. Laughter should be part of our everyday life and it certainly should be captured.... 17.01.2022 WINNER So proud of this lovely lady who seems to just keep scaling her biz journey mountain higher and higher! It has been a pleasure seeing you grow and evolve over the past couple of years from when I first met you :) You totally deserve it!

16.01.2022 WORK TO LIVE How we chose to live our lives is what makes us real! For far too long I have worked to get ahead and do what society thinks is the right thing to do. Long days, even longer weeks, lots of unpaid work (the perks of running your own biz ) just so I get get a mortgage, then an investment property, then a business (not current biz), hey, what about 2 new cars and another business (still not current biz)...... And what has that achieved?? Absolutely nothing! In fact the last 4 years I have spent going in the complete reverse (except for the long work days/weeks). I have downsized, sold up, condensed and minimalised so I could start breathing again (and slowly removing societies expectations of me!) The last step is the work part and hence the BIG decision to move to NZ. Hubby and I want to be able to finally work to LIVE, not live to WORK, enough is enough and there will be no more 6 day weeks and endless hours in front of a computer. Life is too short and there are so many things I want to try and explore while I still can! How are you living? 16.01.2022 BREATHE OUT Its the weekend... WELCOME! My new Queenstown lifestyle means that my weekend is also a little different as my main work days are now Fridays and Saturdays. BUT, what this does mean is getting on the ski slopes on weekdays when it is WAY quieter (So Ive been told)... There may be one problem though... 16.01.2022 CRUISING INTO THE WEEKEND . We had a glorious spring Sunday here today and thank goodness Im finally feeling back to normal . Started with a morning walk up to the #benlommond saddle followed by some delicious curry in the soaking sunshine and finished off with another walk this afternoon around the #kelvinpeninsula.... . 16.01.2022 ALL THE SMALL THINGS With all the grandeur of the stunning mountains surrounding this beautiful town, its easy to overlook the simple small creatures. The bumblebees here are the fluffiest and biggest I have seen. They are like mini flying fluffy teddys. With spring in full bloom now, they are definitely out in force buzzing around the gardens.

11.01.2022 REFFERALS If there is ONE thing that I really love about my biz its getting personal referrals from past clients. This beautiful lady Megan from Empire Wardrobe had such a great MINIs experience that when she heard I was doing another round in July, she was lovely enough to refer a biz buddy to me. Regular personal referrals are the BEST way to know that you or your biz is doing something right and it is the biggest compliment you can get Well for me it is anyway...! Thank you Megan for the kind referral and I absolutely loved working with you.

11.01.2022 WHERE IS SUMMER? Though this was taken a few weeks ago, it really hasnt warmed up much more since in little QT! Its still raining lots and we are still getting snow on the higher peaks around town Not really sure where summer is or if it will arrive at any point ... Would love a few rain free days to go camping around the SE coast over christmas though, so fingers crossed. : the wintery snowfall over the #skylineqtown gondola was pretty epic

10.01.2022 EXPECTATIONS Isnt it funny how we lay such judgements on ourselves with what we can achieve? When I moved to Queenstown, I wanted to take up the opportunity to learn to ski as I had never tried it before. I had seen an end of ski season event at Birg Switzerland last spring which inspired hubby & I to one day have the chance to do just that.... Fast forward to ski season 2019 NZ and here we are Never in a million years did I expect that I would attempt to SKI (physical activities like this have never been my strong point) AND after a few months get to a point where I feel somewhat comfortable wearing long slippery paddles attached to my feet The snow is melting off quickly and the season is coming to an end, but after the initial falls, tears and frustrations I can genuinely say that it has been one inspiring and rewarding experience. 08.01.2022 CATLINS COAST Have you heard of the Catlins Coast? Its one hell of an EPIC coastline & scenic drive, exploring the rain forests, waterfalls and cliff faced beaches of the SE corner of the Sourh Island.... Its the perfect roadtrip for a few days away and even in wild, wi day conditions, it is truly magical! The Cathedral Caves were probably our favourite place! Being the first car in at the gate at opening time, we had the WHOLE beach for kms all to ourselves (well at least until everyone else woke up) & got to really explore way past the 2 biggest caves.

07.01.2022 HILL TRAILS Today was a good day! For as long as I can remember I have hated climbing hills. Dont get me wrong, I love the vistas at the end, but my lungs dont like the climb up to get to those bloody vistas! Today I felt like my uphill trails concurring has finally turned a new leaf and I felt really good climbing to capture this view. My lungs didnt burn and my legs were great. The practice is making me stronger ... Thanks to hubby for the pic to capture this moment for me

06.01.2022 FIGHTING DEMONS . Back in 2014 I did the now very well known #trolltunga hike in Norway & it wasnt pretty (the hike part, not the scenery). It was a VERY muddy track after it had rained for days on end before and I was SUPER unfit (and totally mentally unprepared). There was tears, tantrums and almost turning back at the halfway point (why would you even do that?!?!) but eventually I did get to the end. . Fast forward to yesterday and I re-met that mental challenge as I... agreed to hike up the Ben Lommond track with hubby. I hadn't done anything like it since 2014 and though I've been doing a lot more hikes since arriving in NZ, in my head I felt I wasnt ready to attempt Ben just yet (Not to mention the severe ankle sprain I had 3 months ago, which meant having to regain all function in it the past few months) . The scenery and air made up for all the pain in the legs, the arse and the shortness of breath. It was magical up the top, with 360 degree views. Well worth the pain! . 05.01.2022 So... I have finally gotten around to updating my 'About' section for EBL. Apologies to anyone who has tried to contact me the past few months, with the misleading information stating I was still in Perth. (My bad!) I am currently at a pause with EBL from a business sense, but I will continue to post awesome photos from my adventures in the land of the long white cloud for your viewing entertainment :)

05.01.2022 CHANGE OF PACE One of the big draw cards for moving to QT was a desire to change up our lifestyle and pace. We were sick of working long weeks back home, only to get to the weekends and struggle to find things to do that made us feel alive or made our hearts sing.... We wanted OUT of the big city rat race & IN with a place that gave us endless things to do outdoors, as well us fueling our souls. Thank you Queenstown for being that place

05.01.2022 FEEL ALIVE What makes you feel happy and alive? For me its cool fresh air, rain (and the sound and smell of it), mountains and the splashing of waves or a cool breeze on my skin.... Yep essentially anything to do with being outdoors, in beautiful scenery and fresh air and my senses become heightened and I feel truly alive.
