23.01.2022 Sessional kinder will remain free for most families in Term 4 and children will be given extra support as they prepare for their transition to school, thanks to a $26.7 million funding boost announced by Premier Dan Andrews and Minister for Education and Deputy Premier James Merlino this week.

22.01.2022 Work to upgrade Sandringham East Primary School has been completed! Supported by almost $20 million in funding from the Victorian Government, the school now boasts a new multi-purpose hall comprising a competition-sized sports stadium, a new double-storey learning building that supports different modes of learning and a larger canteen. Congratulations to the principal and staff, school council and community for their efforts in making these facilities a reality.

19.01.2022 More than 70 kindergartens in Southern Metropolitan Region will receive funding to purchase essential IT equipment to support their programs, through the Victorian Government’s Building Blocks IT Grants program. With many kindergartens running learning from home programs during the ongoing pandemic, there has never been a more important time to ensure our early childhood services are equipped with the latest technology.

13.01.2022 Today we announced the safe and steady resumption of elective surgery. In metro Melbourne, elective surgery will increase to up to 75 per cent of usual activity when we move to the Second Step from 28 September, and will then increase to upto 85 per cent under the Third Step of the roadmap. 06.01.2022 Premier Daniel Andrews today announced a multi-billion-dollar package to help businesses survive and keep Victorians in jobs taking the Government's total business support to over $6 billion. Over $1.1 billion in cash grants will support small and medium sized businesses that are most affected by coronavirus restrictions including $822 million as part of the third round of the Business Support Fund. 06.01.2022 The Victorian Government has announced a new $100 million Sole Trader Support Fund. Eligible sole traders who continue to be affected by restrictions will receive a $3000 grant. The Fund will provide grants for sectors such as media, film production, creative studios, outdoor entertainment, private museums or galleries and gym owners. 05.01.2022 The new-look Sandringham Living and Learning Centre is ready to serve our community thanks to the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program! I was honoured to officially open the new $4.5 million joint project at a virtual event last week with Bayside Mayor, Cr Clarke Martin. This funding has created a more welcoming, accessible and comfortable space for people who will be able to use the library once it reopens.
