19.01.2022 A little encouragement to explore scripture with gender diverse eyes on this #TransDayOfVisibility - and beyond!

17.01.2022 Pretty clear eh?

16.01.2022 Lovely to have aspects of our church's joyful celebration of new beginnings and diversity covered by the ABC's The Drum on this Trans Day of Visibility today

15.01.2022 Please help to support transgender children and education staff by adding your voice against the extraordinary ideological and destructive proposals being pout forward in NSW Parliament. One Nation NSW has proposed a Bill that will allow parents to object to their children being taught anything about issues they consider 'ideological and polemical' - and particularly anything at at all about gender identity (what it calls 'gender fluidity') , if it contradicts their values. ...This is disastrous for transgender children who research conclusively shows need more not less awareness and support in schools. Thee Bill also risks the jobs of teachers and school counsellors who recognise trans and gender diverse people, or provide them with support. The NSW Parliament has allowed One Nation NSW Leader Mark Latham to chair an inquiry into his own Bill. The inquiry is now taking submissions through an online questionnaire. Go to the online questionnaire http://tiny.cc/EducationQ and follow these three easy steps to ensure NSW Parliament rejects this unnecessary and harmful Bill. 1. Answer Question 1 (your details will be kept confidential). 2. Say you ‘oppose’ the Bill in Question 2. 3. Tell a story about a teacher who made a difference to you or someone you love in Question 8. You don’t need to answer every question to have your voice heard. The most important thing is to state your opposition to the Bill in Question 2. You can read more about the Bill in @Equality Australia’s factsheet: https://equalityaustralia.org.au//onenationeducationfacts/

11.01.2022 As Catholics wrestle with the Vatican ban - ‘If I can’t bless couples formed by persons of the same sex, then I won’t bless palms or olive branches either, Father Mignani told the crowd that had gathered for mass on Sunday (28 March)’...

11.01.2022 "You can build walls all the way to the sky and I will find a way to fly above them. You can try to pin me down with a hundred thousand arms, but I will find a ...way to resist. And there are many of us out there, more than you think. People who refuse to stop believing. People who refuse to come to earth. People who love in a world without walls, people who love into hate, into refusal, against hope, and without fear. "I love you. Remember. They cannot take it." - Lauren Oliver

01.01.2022 We give thanks for continuing grace and steps of new life in our Equal Voices network in this interesting year and wish everyone a rich blessing for Christmas and the New Year. Despite storm challenges which threatened to disrupt proceedings, our recent Equal Voices AGM went well, with sharing of positive life across the country and our different Churches. We particularly thank Joshua Matthew for his work as treasurer, Stuart Asquith for his leadership as chair, as he steps down from the EV Board to concentrate on vital EV Anglican work in 2021. We welcome Kevin Green (from EV Queensland and the MCC)as a new Board member and look forward to further new life in the future.
