15.01.2022 Hi there. We have been amazed at Barratts how many people have just been going about life like normal. Our governments have been advising us to stay home or a...t work, and only go out for the essentials, the things you want or need and then hurry home. It is amazing to us how many people have been coming in to the shop just for a look around. So, from Wednesday 1st April, we are offering limited entrance to our store. We cant risk our staffs health or the spread of the virus in the community. Please call us, or email or Facebook message to get the things you need, and meet us at the front door, where the counter will be, but there will be limited entry available. If you have very specific things you really need to see, we may let you in, but better still why not take advantage of our delivery service. Woody is doing a brilliant job of getting your gear to you, doing heaps of deliveries every day, so call us, put the gear you want on your credit card (or your account or a payment plan) and we will bring it to your door, or courier it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but at Barratts Music, we are taking the Coronavirus threat seriously. We will keep you updated on Facebook or just call us. Stay safe. See more

04.01.2022 It is with pride that Wirripang announces the publication of A Musical Missionary: The Life and Music of Dulcie Holland Her biography co-authored by Rita Crew...s OAM and Jeanell Carrigan AM . For the entire project see; https://www.australiancomposers.com.au//com/dulcie-holland This exceptional Australian woman composer deserved to have her life and music celebrated much earlier, not twenty years after her death. But now it is been written by two musicians: one who knew Holland and had the opportunity to discuss her music with her; and one who has come to know Dulcie Holland from playing many of her remarkable compositions. Fortunately, there are detailed interviews available, giving a very good insight into Hollands thought processes and providing an absolute wealth of information.
