23.01.2022 This sweet 22yo girl was the recipient of a FREE call out, consultation and dental check up courtesy of a Raffle Prize I donated to the 2019 Zone 24 Pony Club Jamboree. Whilst she had the usual often age-related but no less serious dental disease issues such as diastemas, periodontal disease pockets and infundibular caries... it was the long standing fractured and displaced 309 first molar cheek teeth that was a surprise find. Time and time again, these cases highlight the i...mportance of a more frequent and thorough dental exam especially in our older patients (over 18yo). Hopefully she can get all her issues fixed soon. As we have never really received any form of feedback or acknowledgement from all our pony club donations (except once, inside a tallies members only post in 2017 acknowledging a donation of vouchers worth $450), I had decided to make this 'gift voucher' our last. However, maybe it is worthwhile... if it can get horses like these the proper care required.

22.01.2022 Today's extraction was quite a 'serene' surgery - beautiful day whilst listening to the birds! Hope the other 2 extractions booked this week are as pleasant More photos in the comments below.

18.01.2022 A bit of fun whilst waiting for a client.

17.01.2022 Getting in our annual (biannual for some) dentals at home! Almost 20 horse dentals, 15 drenches, 8 scans, vaccinations as well as a dental surgery! Mostly our own horses (and a day of bobcatting with 10 loads of rotamil for our lanes.... so a very expensive day ) but it was a good day with our new assistants for the season (and much longer hopefully) Elly and Jess who have now settled in well (along with Khloe on weekends). Winning

04.01.2022 And so 'the season' begins again! Fingers crossed for another good one. Our first AI of the season with 15yo frozen semen is a positive 15days today. Our first OPU (ovum pick up) of the season giving us a fighting chance of ICSI success with 9 oocytes aspirated today.

03.01.2022 I spent the first 3 minutesof this storm running around closing doors and gates etc and stuff was being blown around everywhere!... it was a serious gale. Once it settled I was able to continue with the frozen AI. Such a sweet mare and quiet foal!
