24.01.2022 I love learning new skills and adding to my toolbox to improve the welfare of all the horses I am lucky enough to cross paths with. This week was no exception 3 days of Residential school for horse behaviour and training (uni subject) and a two day introduction to the Tellington method (pictures). Thank you to all my amazing clients and support network, who continue to work with me and help me strive to fulfil my goals and ambitions. I am always striving towards positiv...e change in the equine industry. STARTING WITH MYSELF. The more you learn, the more you realise the less you know for me this path isn’t just education, it’s my life and my passion. Thanks to Elementals Equine Therapies for hosting an amazing weekend *Please note I am not a Tellington practitioner, I am qualified in a diploma in Equine and Human SMART Bowen

19.01.2022 Lest We forget 11-11 I’m grateful everyday for the sacrifices made by those of the past that have allowed a free future. But today is a special day, when all our hearts and thoughts can reflect on and remain grateful, for the past and present service men, women and animals . Thank you for your sacrifice - We will remember them ... Art Painting by Jacqueline Hurley For Heroes And Horses

18.01.2022 I had a beautiful thing happen last week While working with a handsome four legged Lad, his owner brought out a trophy that her daughter had been awarded for horsemanship at the local pony club. Turns out my name is also on this trophy from 2005, and so are the names of many friends . It was a beautiful reminder of how my lifelong passion has been nurtured over the years, and of all the amazing friends and connections I have acquired along the way. ... Thank you! To all the volunteers and parents that give up their time to drag kids and horses around, to instruct, to gear check and to pick us up when we fall. Thank you! To all the ponies that keep us humble, share the highs, the lows, the tears and the laughter. We wouldn’t be who we are without you. Giving back to our equine partners is my life’s passion and pony club was a huge part of my journey. Thank you for the reminder and good luck to all the pony club kids on their journey in the equine industry or with their horsey endeavours .

18.01.2022 Don’t let anyone hold you down, most importantly try not to hold yourself down I find I am the only one who can suppress my sparkle. I am my harshest critic and I push myself very hard. This can be a great attribute to have as it helps me not only reach my goals, but move the goal posts constantly. It also means I need to cut myself some slack and remember to enjoy and embrace the journey. It is important to reflect and acknowledge the growth you have already achieved you might find it’s a beautiful thing.

16.01.2022 Gratitude Post I would like to thank all of my friends, family and clients for their continued support while juggling my studies, work, running my own business and maintaining some semblance of a life . The last 8 weeks have been particularly challenging and everyone has been patient, supportive and encouraged me to keep pushing!... For those of you who know how hard I have been pushing myself ... I did it! Got a HD in Biochem and managed to complete 3 weeks of placement, 2 introductory workshops for further skill development (equine variety), attained bravo level certificate in self defence (KEF) and managed to fit a bit of work in there somewhere .

16.01.2022 Gotta love Sunday morning proof reading and editing that’s a lot of red to fix aiming to smash it out, submit, then get me my horsey fix for the day

16.01.2022 This quote resonates with me for a lot of reasons. Mainly it sheds light on how important the foundations are in everything we do with our horses. Emphasising that it is just as important to have foresight as it is to learn from hindsight. For example: understanding the anatomical, physiological and biomechanical issues that may be linked to your horses injury or dysfunction. Or, finding someone who can help you understand. This knowledge is powerful, it allows you to recogn...ise the need (foresight) for the correct - even though it may take longer- rehabilitation. Instead of looking back (hindsight) in 12 months time, wishing you had taken the time to understand the issue, rehabilitate the tissue or injury properly and strengthen the area (and rest of the body). Empowering ourselves with knowledge can help avoid reinjury, and dramatically improve equine welfare in the process.

14.01.2022 Thank you for all your kindness and enthusiasm.

10.01.2022 Some great news to share For anyone or anyone who knows someone that is allergic to horses Ti Tree Curly Horses are a beautiful stud local to my area . Check them out ... They have some cute foal photos at the moment too https://www.facebook.com/titree.curlyhorses.3

09.01.2022 Love my study buddies even if Guzzy (chestnut) thought my hair needed redoing and my scrunchie looked tasty, and jinx (cat) tried to catch the moving things on my screen . Kruiger (black) was surprisingly not involved yesterday and just wanted to chill .
