04.01.2022 So on the heels of an amazing week of continuing education soaking up as much as I can to learn more about helping horses, I once again was met with professiona...ls tearing each other down on social media. Once again I feel the need to reiterate something. What if in the hoofcare industry we shifted our mindset and saw others as colleagues, instead of as competitors? What if instead of tearing others down to "prove our point," we build up, encourage, and edify each other to help the horse in the best ways we can? Here's the thing. You can dislike an ideology and still love people. You can passionately disagree with someone and still see them as a person who deserves respect. Yesterday, Stuart Muir said something that really struck me - it was along the lines of "what if we already HAVE the answer of how to best help horses, but the right people aren't willing to talk to each other?" As I've said before, we are all in it to help horses. We are colleagues, not competitors. If we remember that, the horse will benefit exponentially.
