17.01.2022 Some of you might be wondering what happens when our #EQUIPathome registration closes tomorrow. Here’s the email we sent to our delegates this morning... Hello!... This is a friendly reminder that your on-demand access to EQUIP at home will end at midnight tomorrow 27 July. Since the first episode premiered on 20 June, we've heard many wonderful stories of how God has used this unique opportunity to help our delegates consider Jesus in light of eternity. Some women have watched multiple times with different groups as they've thought of more and more friends with whom they could share God's word. Over 4500 women and teens have joined us at home and we want to say a big thank you for being one of them. If you haven't watched yet, you still have time! It will take about four hours to view both episodes. If you haven't downloaded our amazing teen's devotional booklet, why not do that now while you still can? Need More Time? Now that pastors are over the initial rush, we need to prepare for the new normal and even get ahead of the curve. We have all had reactions and are all going through considerable stress. This time is a great opportuni...ty to reflect on self-care in the new world, both in the immediate and in the longer term. Valerie is on the cutting edge of helping pastors prepare for and cope with the psychological demands of ministry (as well as the mission field), and she will be conducting these three free webinars. What? (Already happened) Part 1: Making sense of what is going on? How can we understand what’s happening with us and our congregations. What are the best parallel frameworks out there, and how do they apply to the impacts of the COVID19 pandemic. Part 2: Finding meaning and energy at this time. With many of our world’s turned upside down, and so quickly, many in ministry are searching for meaning. The nature of church is the gathering of God’s people. Tickets $15 and registration is open on the EQUIP website. WHAT’S HAPPENING SESSION 1: Monday 9 November, 10.30am-1pm... Proverbs 3: God shaped leadership Dan Wu SESSION 2: Tuesday 10 November, 10.30am-1pm Proverbs 25: Leadership that serves Dan Wu Dan Wu is a lecturer in Old Testament at Moore Theological College. He loves seeing people grow in their understanding of and passion for Jesus, and training them to serve God in the world. Dan is married to Chrissie, and they have 3 sons. PROGRAMME Each session will include: Songs of praise and prayer to God for us to reflect on and ‘hum’ along Manuscript discovery looking at Proverbs 3 and 25 in breakout groups Interviews with EQUIP’s international worker M who will be joining us live, and with Dan and Chrissie Wu Prayer and discussion in ministry specialty breakout groups COST We’re asking you to pay $15 per person (includes both sessions) whether you watch alone or in a group. This will help us cover some of the production costs. To keep it simple, you will be able to buy multiple tickets in one registration. Your ticket will also give you access to resources designed to help you keep thinking about leadership on your own or with your team.
