22.01.2022 Carmelina Read, chair of EQUIP women leaders shares where her joy comes from and what God has been teaching her this year... I love watching people at the arr...ival gates at the airport: the squeals of delight, the long embraces and the tears of joy when people finally meet face to face. I love it all. And no amount of technology can surpass the unique experience and value of in person relationship. Christians have sung about the joy of face to face relationship for centuries: Joy to the world, the Lord is come. This is the good news of great joy for all the people. (Luke 2:10). The Word became flesh and dwelt among us so we could really know Him (John 1). And yet, this incredible joy urges us to long for more. We cry ‘Marantha! Come, Lord Jesus, so we can know you face to face.’ For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 For me, one of the biggest challenges of this COVID period has been learning new skills to teach the truth of God’s word to children remotely. Here’s my Christmas attempt to help our little brothers and sisters in Christ understand the mind blowing joy that Christmas is incarnational (in the flesh). That the baby Jesus is good news for all people of an eternal, face to face ‘catch up’ with the Son of God. Joy that even a world wide pandemic can’t take away from us. 11.01.2022 Today we asked Ainsley Poulos, chair of EQUIP Ministry Wives to share her reflections on 2020... This year for me has felt like a slow-motion re-run of my chi...ldhood summer on my surf-mat. Whilst in Kuala Lumpur in January, I caught a glimpse of the COVID wave on the horizon. As the wave grew in February and early March, reminiscent of my Dad years ago, I found myself coaching the teams I lead - about the things we needed to do to give us the best shot at emerging on the other side of the wave - and I prayed. My husband was doing the maths on how long we could survive without an income. There was never going to be an exhilarating ride to the beach, only option 2 or 3 were on the table. Like many others, the ‘washing machine’ was intense as I worked longer and harder than ever before, whilst at the same time, doing school for our son with a disability. This Christmas, after having paddled like mad and emerging relieved, exhausted and ‘covered in sand’, again I thank God for his mercy, blessings and the basics - life, health, shelter and hugging my family - no matter what tomorrow brings. If nothing else, 2020 has been a reality check, we are not the masters of our destiny, no matter who we are, or what we have. It’s the perfect reminder that we are totally reliant on God for all things, and the world more than ever needs to know the truth of 1 John 4:14 - that God sent his Son Jesus to be the Saviour of the world. What a comfort, and what a message we have to share! Read more here: https://www.equip.org.au/equip-news/2020/12/21/christmas-day

Here’s a snapshot of who we are and what we are about. With words from many of our lovely delegates! EQUIP IS FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN Started by a group of friends in Sydney. We are committed to training and hearing from Australian Women Bible Teachers. EQUIP is for every woman - whether you’re a seeker or a mature Christian, a teenager or a grandma - and for every stage in between. EQUIP IS ABOUT THE BIBLE We are convinced that the careful study of God’s Word is how to have a richer relationship with God and a deeper understanding of his plans for his world and us. It’s so amazing - how every book, chapter and verse - is good and applies to our lives. EQUIP IS ABOUT GATHERING For over 20 years, thousands of women have been gathering together at our conferences, gathering at churches to watch the livestream and even gathering with friends to watch at home. EQUIP gathers women year after year to equip them to share Jesus. Tag a friend who you’d like to share EQUIP with this year
02.01.2022 From everyone at EQUIP women, Merry Christmas! How can we still say that with joy after the year that 2020 has been? Because of what Christ has done for you! ...O come all you unfaithful Come weak and unstable Come know you are not alone O come barren and waiting ones Weary of praying, come See what your God has done Christ is born, Christ is born Christ is born for you O come bitter and broken Come with fears unspoken Come taste of His perfect love O come guilty and hiding ones There is no need to run See what your God has done He’s the Lamb who was given Slain for our pardon His promise is peace For those who believe So come, though you have nothing Come He is the offering Come see what your God has done Music and words by Lisa Clow and Bob Kauflin 2020 Sovereign Grace Praise/BMI https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C-QHbpYjuIg&feature=youtu.be
