25.01.2022 Mt St Gwinear has turned on the goods today. Ps...... Definitely 4wd or chains for 2wd.

25.01.2022 Let's hope it looks like this when we come out of lockdown and we salvage a couple of weeks for 2020. Photos Saturday September 5th 2020

25.01.2022 Some snow for Sunday. Don't get too excited yet but these events help to freeze the ground up prior to winter and hopefully set things up for a cracker of a start in June Ps the blue indicates snow.

24.01.2022 The food van be operating at Mt St Gwinear this weekend. We are open 9am to 5pm Saturday at this stage. There was snow visible from the carpark on Tuesday so i expect you'll find some up the trails. It's really just a great excuse to get out for a walk and snow play may be ok. We will hire chains as it's still a legal requirement but skis won't be suitable. There may be an opportunity to snow shoe. ... It's 2020 so anything could happen but we figure with the sun out and restrictions being eased let's try and get up for a last glimpse of snow. We will require photo id, masks and social distancing for everyone entering the shop.

24.01.2022 For those in lock down a little glimpse of some beautiful Tassie snow........ Not to tease but to scratch the itch

23.01.2022 Thanks Anthony. Let's hope we get a decent drop overnight. Updates in the morning as soon as we know

22.01.2022 So much more than just snow

22.01.2022 Sketchy photos but looks like @mtbawbaw picked up a decent little cover. Don't expect it to last so don't wait until tomorrow....... Come today. Expect similar views at St Gwinear

21.01.2022 30cm on the ground @mtbawbaw . No official report yet from St Gwinear but should be plenty for a snowplay. Free entry to both mountains. BB requires pre booking to control numbers, Saint G has a 120 car limit but no booking. Chains required prior to resort entry. ... Please note we are not hiring skis or snowboards but everything else is available from 9am until 5pm

19.01.2022 The countdown is on

19.01.2022 Ever thought about working at the snow? Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort is hiring for winter 2021

18.01.2022 Tables disappearing and ski-doos going under. What a shame the areas are closed. There is snow outside the closed area boundaries however we strongly urge you to 1. Not break the rules with regard to restrictions. 2. Not try and find a loophole excuse to travel to the snow. 3. Be very prepared to be stuck and or fined. Our local @vic.police_ assures me he is conducting patrols and targeting these areas. Stay safe everyone

17.01.2022 A very light dusting at this stage but more expected. We will be watching the cameras before deciding to open. Message enquiries to our FB page as emails not working (2020 hey) Parks Vic attending St G as well as Anthony with his world famous donuts. Chains still required and likely to be fitted over the next few days.

17.01.2022 Looks like maybe 5-10cm from the cameras. Too early for anything official though. Expect similar amounts at St Gwinear. Please follow DHHS guidelines @mtbawbaw and St G have caps on numbers while BB requires pre booking before entry. Both mountains are free to enter.... Expect to fit wheel chains today. We will be open from 9am until 5pm. Photo identification required and please only enter the shop if you have to be fitted personally for clothing.

16.01.2022 As restrictions are easing for regional Victorians we are opening this Saturday between 9am and 5pm. Further opening dependant on demand. There is some snow at Mt St Gwinear for those who don't mind a walk and given we've all been locked down it's s great opportunity to stretch the legs. Wheel chains are still legally required for access to StG. The toboggan runs remain closed and some restrictions remain around government guidelines. Snow is forecast for Next Tuesday at which stage we will reassess and decide on further opening. Baw Baw remains closed at this stage with a permit only access system.

15.01.2022 Truly beautiful walks anytime of year

12.01.2022 There has been a light dusting of snow with possibility of more coming tonight. Time to suit up and let the kids run We will have an update tomorrow as soon as we hear down from the mountain. Open Saturday 9am-5pm

10.01.2022 A very light dusting showing up on the cameras this morning. Rug up and be prepared if heading into the high country.

09.01.2022 Please note our email is experiencing difficulties. Please message via Facebook or email at [email protected] Cheers

06.01.2022 Just as the sunsets the snow has started @mtbawbaw Tomorrow should be a great snowplay day. Forecasts predict 5-20cm overnight.

04.01.2022 Take care on the roads over the next couple of days. Also, if headed into the high country be sure to take extra precautions and plan your trip

04.01.2022 Serious? C'mon what a tease. Let's hope restrictions ease and the snow stays, although with forecast temps around 20 this weekend and 2020's track record.......

01.01.2022 Looking great BB.

01.01.2022 What could have been......

01.01.2022 ohhhh 2020 you cruel heartless horror. Please remember Baw Baw National Park which includes Mount Saint Gwinear as well as the Alpine National Park remain CLOSED. Road blocks are in place, patrols are being conducted, fines ARE being issued. Remember the 4 reasons to leave home (hint, playing in the snow isn't one of them) Stay home, Cross your fingers for September easing of restrictions.
