24.01.2022 Creamy Base. One of my favourite things! And sometimes not that simple to achieve. Why? Because it’s the prep and the underneath that plays a major role in the finished result of your makeup looking fresh. Freshly cleansed, exfoliated (not every day, consult a good beauty therapist for their recommendation on how often your skin requires exfoliation) and moisturised skin is the bed rock of a good foundation base. This may require you to try a few different skin care brand...s to find the right one for you. Personally I always go for toxin free, as clean as possible, brands. Then let’s add into that other factors such as keeping your body hydrated with plenty of water, eating nutritious food to ensure your body has all the nutrients it needs to function well and, as little stress as possible....Woah, see what I mean about it not being that easy to achieve a creamy, fresh looking base with your foundation?! Why am I saying this? Because I want you to be kind to yourself. Sometimes it’s simply not possible to achieve all of the above. Big things can hit us in life which can be hard to keep the stress levels down and the stress chooses to show itself through our skin - breakouts, eczema etc. Not fun. My advice, just keep working on what you can. Remember, hardly anyone will be as close to your face as what you get to that mirror in the mornings! They most probably will not see the imperfection you are seeing. Make your heart beautiful and I promise, that is what people will see. Did you know, even a natural makeup with the goal having a fresh finish takes a certain amount of product teamed with the knowledge of what to do with that product. The look that I have created here has that fresh and natural finish to it, and took 11 products and 5 brushes. I’m not saying this to overwhelm you or make you feel out of your league at all, I’m giving you the knowledge you may not have yet, which is what may be stopping y...ou from getting that look you want, but cannot seem to achieve. What may seem like a lot of steps, once you have practiced, will actually still be quite time efficient and easy for you.
