23.01.2022 The ERNA Executive are currently monitoring the situation regarding the Covid19 virus and its potential impact on our 2020 season. As you may be aware some of o...ur members have been affected by the Coronavirus over the past few weeks. If your club has members from St Patricks Dundas or any other school who has been identified as having the virus, we recommend that you follow the advice that the school issues during the day and if it is recommended they be isolated for an extended period, not involve them in club activities for the period recommended. For all other clubs, please note the advice from the Department of Health is that there is no need to cancel training or games at this stage. ERNA is recommending that all participants follow the Australian Government’s guidelines as to how to reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus. All participants are encouraged to use thorough handwashing techniques and anti-bacterial hand gels - please refer to this link for more details: www.who.int/gpsc/clean_hands_protection/en/. ERNA is also recommending that participants reassess how they greet people on a day-to-day basis and how they can minimise contact with other participants in and around their sports. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information as it becomes available. 10.01.2022 Today I was joined by Premier Gladys Berejiklian to announce that the largest education project in Australia joining primary, secondary and TAFE is coming to Ry...de, as well as more community open space. Marsden High School, West Ryde will be relocated to the new Meadowbank Education Precinct and cater for up to 1,500 high school students - thats DOUBLE the current capacity of the school The current Marsden High School site will remain in community hands and be re-purposed for open space and sports facilities, primarily catering for netball Meadowbank Public School will be relocated to the new Meadowbank Education Precinct and also have its capacity doubled to 1000 places The current Meadowbank Public site will remain in community hands as public open space Northern Sydney TAFE Meadowbank Campus will be transformed into the States flagship technology-focused TAFE. With world-class courses in IT and cyber-security, our TAFE will be the perfect link to the technology focused businesses in Macquarie Park I am so proud of the $6 billion investment the NSW Government is making in education. These changes are going to transform Ryde into the education powerhouse of NSW. I am so excited for Rydes future!

Best Dressed Group: Post your crazy photos on social medi...a with #CrazyHairandSockDay and #TheKidsCancerProject for the chance to win a prize pack for everyone in the group. Best Dressed Individual: Same as above, but just one person takes the limelight! ERNA will be collecting coins again this year (hopefully gold!). There will be people walking around with collection boxes and there will be one at the Control Desks. Please encourage all your players, coaches, managers and umpires to participate and make it a really fun Saturday. Officials are also encouraged to get involved. Lets try to make this ERNAs most successful year yet in raising money for The Kids Cancer Project. It is such a worthy cause and so many of us have been touched in some way by this terrible disease .

05.01.2022 Final wrap of the One Netball Marie Little Shield. The final day of the national series, saw the gold medal go to a deserving South Australia side with a close ...silver to Victoria, in 21-18. Our mighty NSW team claimed the bronze medal against Queensland with a full time score of 14-4! Congratulations to all teams involved and another successful year celebrating opportunity and ability found in Netball. #GONSW
