10.01.2022 It's been awhile, this is just a bit of an update! Ian Corby has settled in to running the appliance repairs business in Cooma, and is now located in Sharp St next to Video Ezy. 01.01.2022 Errol's Tip of the Week - Washing Machines Have you ever washed your washing machine? Sounds funny but it collects a lot of dust, dirt and grime, therefore needing a regular clean to ensure your clothes are always clean and smelling fresh. Don’t forget to always remove items from pockets - these small items can block up pumps and drains damaging your machine.... I clean my washing machine every 6 months. It usually get’s a build up of liquid soap in the centre and a good clean will prevent the dispenser clogging up. 1. Soak the dispenser in warm water. 2. While empty put washing machine through a hot temperature full cycle. Add a good splash of vinegar (1 cup) as it fills. Or Finish rinse aid for the extra hard jobs! As it is filling up use the water and a sponge to wipe: Top of the washer Lid Outside body Underneath the lid Rim of the washing machine Top of the spinner All nooks and cranny’s you can find dirt and dust build up. 3. Clean and rinse softener dispenser. 4. Pet hair and lint can block up filters, remove filters and wash in warm water, removing any unwanted build up. If the filter in your washer is hard to locate refer to your user manual. A washing machine can last for easily ten years if you take good care of it. And if you want your washer to work to its maximum, you need to take good care of it. Also, do not overload the washer.
