25.01.2022 H A P P Y N E W Y E A R S E V E ! I hope you've all enjoyed the festivities with your loved ones. Whilst many are spending this last day of 2020 reflecting and setting goals, it's a lovely time to acknowledge everyone who have made a positive impact in our lives. ... It's our families, friends, colleagues, neighbours, clients - send them a thank you message today for adding value to your life. It's also the people who continue to serve us day in, day out without us realising. These are our police officers, nurses, public transport workers, cleaners, childcare workers, shop owners and many more. Next time you see them: Say THANK YOU and SMILE. Make them feel acknowledged for their heroic efforts. Many of these people do their best to ensure we can go home to our families safe and healthy everyday. 2020 has challenged all of us. We may not be standing without the collaborative efforts of these people. Let us all spread #kindness and #love to everyone we cross paths with. To everyone who is reading this: May the year of 2021 bless you and your families an abundance of peace, good #health, love, joy and safety. Thank YOU for the positive #impact you've made on my life and many others, and I hope you continue to shine your light on others. #gratitude
21.01.2022 Every Wednesday, I get the opportunity to spend an entire day with my little man. In the mornings we usually head outdoors to the park to explore and play.... In the afternoons we have a picnic lunch on my front lawn followed by lots of books and cuddles. It's a day I'm relaxed and don't schedule any work. Putting aside our work commitments to relax and spend quality time with those we love is crucial for our well-being, both mental and physical. I encourage to dedicate time each week to make time for your wellbeing. It's different for everyone - some may enjoy a swim at the beach while others may enjoy reading a book in bed. Whatever it is, you DESERVE to take care of yourself in a way that relaxes and nourishes you. Remember, your cup needs to be filled before you can fulfil the demands of your spouse, children, clients, bosses and many others.
14.01.2022 W E L L B E I N G I hope you're all enjoying this festive season with your loved ones. I'd like to share my top 5 tips on managing our #wellbeing during this festive season! ... 1. HYDRATE WELL (with water) There are plenty of alcoholic beverages to choose from and enjoy with. However, it's important to limit your alcoholic drink intake and instead hydrate your body with water. Your body will feel much better being well hydrated. 2. #EXERCISE Now that many of you have more time being on leave, schedule in a morning or evening workout. Go for a walk/run/swim. Spend time in nature. Take your kids along to enjoy family bonding. 3. CHOOSE HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS There are plenty of family gatherings and good food around this time. Think ahead and consider how sick you feel when you overeat or make poor food choices? Consuming healthier food options will help your body FEEL GOOD. 4. #SLEEP Commit to your 7-8 hours sleep. Take afternoon naps. Use this downtime to afford your body it's well-deserved rest and recover. 5. UNPLUG FROM DEVICES For those of us #blessed to see family in person, let's unplug from devices, have real conversations and #reconnect. #Social connections make us FEEL GOOD and we can only be fully present when we put our devices away. May you all be blessed with an abundance of good health, joy, love and peace.
12.01.2022 Happy Friday!! It was an absolute pleasure this morning as I delivered a presentation on Well-being for leaders, educators, children and families. It's a topic I'm super passionate about and so blessed to share my story and experiences. ... What was even more exciting was to have my girls attend the event to support me. I'm feeling very grateful. As we head into the weekend, what are you feeling grateful for in your life? #mumanddaughters
