17.01.2022 Something happened today which made me smile. Two years ago I planted a stunning pink flowered shrub called Citrus Brilliancy. It was in memory of my old dog Sheeba who I had just lost. As I drove back in through the top gate this morning I notice it was thriving and in full flower. I stopped the car to remember the beautiful girl she was A Facebook memory came up telling me it had been two years since we lost Sheeba. Below is a repost with the backstory of my first dog She...eba. Coming up 15 years ago on a warm summers day I went out to Gibson to have a look at a litter of Labrador puppies. Of the 8 pups one stood out to me. Whilst all the others were out playing and chewing on each other ears one little girl was fast asleep keeping cool in a hole she had dug under the bbq. I thought this dog is smart! I’ll take that one. That was the day Sheeba became my new best mate. For 15 years everywhere I went Sheeb came too. She has always kept her gentle chilled nature with her main aim being to find the comfiest spot and just chill. Every morning when I was working the racehorses she would wait till the next warm rug was thrown off the horse and into the breeze way. This would then be her new bed for the next 45 minutes until the next horse got worked. Another time up in Port Hedland she wandered across the road to the shire building through the automatic doors and plonked herself in someone’s office in front of the aircon!. It feels like she has always been by my side and always would be however a sad day came a few weeks ago where I had to say goodbye to my old girl. I have cried many tears however I am so grateful for the many happy memories of our adventures together.
