24.01.2022 Day 3 of Online Qualifying is over and almost 3,000 timed laps of Bathurst have been run across that time. The times have been accumulated for all sessions up until the end of sessions today, including the Day 2 evening session that was earlier missing. Josh Anderson has made small improvements to his time however now has company in the 2:04s with Madison Down, Riley Preston and Josh Muggleton all amongst it. With 5 days left of Online Qualifying, attention starts to turn tow...ards the 10th Position, as the Top 10 are those who will qualify for Round 1 of VSR Showdown 2018 at Shannons Nationals. Online Qualifying will kick off again tomorrow morning at 7:00am AEST, with the Hosted Session password being V8SONLINE.

23.01.2022 The stage is set - today is the FINAL day of Online Qualifying. The standings have been updated and there's been a shakeup of the order, with Andrew Kahl entering the competition and taking the challenge to Anderson in front. Big moves Saturday for Mitchell McLeod as well, taking him into the Top 10. The other big news, is that we can confirm that will now be taking an additional 2 spots, with the Top 12 into the VSR Showdown at Shannons Nationals. 17.01.2022 Last year's VSR Showdown Champion can't make it to Sydney Motorsport Park this year, as he's off racing in the European Le Mans Series. But... YOU CAN!! 17.01.2022 Positive Simracing's Daniel Benefieldhas thrown down the gauntlet by setting the fastest time so far after 2 of 6 days of online qualifying. Benefield who finished 2nd to Dylan Shepherd at Shannons Nationals is looking to go one better at PAX Australia, and already showing strong signs early despite the very different car and track combination. Also moving up the field was Evolution Racing Team's Luca Giacominnarrowly ahead of Day 1 leader Dayne Warren 71 drivers have now ...set times, with the top 28 drivers all sitting within 1 second of eachother. However only 18 will qualify through to PAX! It sure is very tight and we can definitely see it staying that way throughout the 6 days. For those qualifying today, the session password is MOTUM.

16.01.2022 We're into the final day of Online Qualifying, and the marker continues to drop. The fastest time has been moved to 1:41.830 by Pure Racing Team's Damien Mcphee, followed closely behind by Dayne Warren& Ethan Grigg-Gault. Moving into the last day however, attention is turning to the 18th position, which is the last automatic qualifying spot for the VSR Showdown @ PAX Australia. Currently the 18th place is is being held by Thomas McMillan, who coincidentally has the exact s...ame 1:42.511 time as 17th placed David Lord. Full times are available at https://www.virtualsimracing.com.au/qualifying Remember though, if there are some who are unable to make the trip to Melbourne, those next in line will be offered a place until a final field of 18 has been reached, so make sure you put in your best effort to avoid missing out! 11.01.2022 We're at the half way point of Online Qualifying! 4 days gone, 4 to go! It is getting very tight in that all important top 10 in particular. The big mover was Josh Muggleton to 2nd place and starting to take the fight to Anderson. The top 3 in fact either are currently or have in the past raced in the real world too, which is great to see. There's a lot going on though, with Gardiner, Benefield, and Healey all making solid moves, and Gary Hamilton joining for his first ...session as well moving into the top 10 too! 11.01.2022 3 more days to go for Online Qualifying! The top 10 remain unchanged at the conclusion of Day 5, but that's not from not trying as more than 500 laps were put down, equating to over 16 hours of track usage. Today's password is VSPORT, celebrating Motum Simulation and VSR's newest partner, that houses a Motum Motion Simulator full time in Sydney and is available for casual rental hire, driver training and analysis, as well as Simulator sales. If you're coming to Sydney Motorsport Park, V-Sport is only a few minutes away at Unit 1 / 204 Walters Road Arndell Park NSW 2148.

10.01.2022 Updated Leaderboard from Day 2 is now online. Continuing to lead the charge with an improvement in yesterday's morning session was Josh Anderson Racing who improved by 0.010sec in the morning session. Note that due to iRacing's maintenance that kicked in late in the afternoon session, we have been unable to retrieve the afternoon results sheet and as such, there are no times recorded from that session that are reflected in the leaderboard. We are working with iRacing to try a...nd reclaim this and if provided, we will update the leaderboard with these updated times. The good news is that there are still 5 days of Online Qualifying to go, and sessions have been live since 7am this morning. Today's password for the Hosted sessions is MOTUM. 07.01.2022 ONLINE QUALIFYING DETAILS REVEALED With the week-long Online Qualifying set to kick off from tomorrow, we are proud to announce that the car selected for the VSR Showdown 2018 Round 1, will be the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991), and the circuit to be used for the Online Qualifying is none other than the Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst. Each day we will be running 2 x 9 Hour Hosted Sessions. These will be starting from 7am AEST, and from 4pm AEST each day so that you will be able ...to attempt qualifying at any time between the hours of 7am-1am AEST. The sessions will also be password protected so as to keep the hosted sessions clean, with participants that are aware of the Virtual Sim Racing Showdown. The session password each day will be made available on the VSR Website at http://www.virtualsimracing.com.au/online-qualifying. Also available will be the rules and regulations for the Online Qualifying, and a copy of the Fixed Setup so that you can practice in your own time. Hosted Qualifying Sessions will be run as follows. 04.01.2022 We're halfway through the Online Qualifying for VSR Showdown Round 2 at PAX Australia, hosted by OMEN by HP & Red Bull Esports. The times are incredible tight, with those all currently in the Top 18 all within 0.591sec of eachother. Daniel Benefieldfrom Positive Simracing continues to lead the way, ahead of All Star Motorsports' Dayne Warren& newcomer to the top 3 Ethan Grigg-Gaultfrom Evolution Racing Team. iRacing has made an update overnight, and one of the updates did ...affect the Ferrari GT3 car, where now you are able to adjust brake bias in-car during fixed setup events. As mentioned previously, this is allowed within online qualifying, however once we get into the racing at PAX, this will not be permitted. Today's session password is CAMS, our sanctioning partner. After an extremely successful opening round of the VSR Showdown 2018 from Sydney Motorsport Park, we are proud to announce that Round 2 Details have been released, and we will be racing once again! Hosted by OMEN by HP & Red Bull Esports, the VSR Showdown 2018 will be taking place at the Exhibit Hall of PAX Australia, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). The format is similar as Round 1, however is condensed into a... 1 Day Competition on Saturday, October 27th for 18 of Australia's best. You can be a part of Round 2, by being one of the Top 18 Online Qualifiers. Be sure to register for Round 2 online, and take part in the Online Qualifying sessions running from October 9th to 14th. From then, the field will be set! The event itself will continue to be sanctioned by Confederation of Australian Motor Sport - CAMS, with a chief steward on hand to ensure fun and fair racing. 02.01.2022 Richard Hamstead of TTL Esports has confirmed he will be contesting the VSR Showdown 2018, Round 1 at Shannons Nationals. By virtue of his Top 3 finish at the 2017 VSR Showdown, he also has a direct path into the main event action taking place from September 22nd at Sydney Motorsport Park. Unfortunately our 2017 Champion James Allen Race Driver will still be contesting the European Le Mans Series with GRAFF Racing so is unable to take his automatic entry, and our runner up last year Emree Racing from Trans Tasman Racing has recently moved to Japan, and is also unable to take her automatic entry from last year. The good news is everyone else looking to enter, is that there are more spots available in the Online and Live Qualifying phases of the competition. More details will be coming out regarding that in the next 48 hours! Stay tuned!
