24.01.2022 One of the things I love most about being a musician is the people I've met along the journey. So many amazing, heartfelt connections and beautiful experiences ...of making music with incredible musicians from all over the world. A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to meet Ida from Sweden at Ethno Australia in 2017. After performing together at Mullumbimby Music Festival Ida came to stay with me for a week or so in Melbourne, and while she was with me we thought... "why not put on a gig??" I called my friend Chris to see if he wanted to play cello with us and then two weeks later there we were! Here is a small clip from that performance. Ethno World are supporting a mobility project for Ethnos across the globe and we are selecting a number of musicians who have been to a previous Ethno Australia, or who are attending this years Ethno Australia to go to another Ethno somewhere else for FREE! Possibilities are: Ethno Solomon Islands 20th - 30th June 2019 Ethno India - March 2020 Ethno New Zealand - Jan 2020... 15.01.2022 When the BAD//DREEMS called me Up to ask me to be apart of this- it was before all of this bad stuff happened this week and they chose the song simply because t...hey loved it- it means so much more to be apart of this now then ever and I truly feel that everyone needs to hear it in the light of all the tragic things that are happening in this country, the music will always bring us together and remember that we need to stand up and be counted- big ups and huge respects to the boys and such an honour singing alongside Peter (hes soooo tall and it hurt my neck to even look at home) haha and big love to uncle Don Murrungun and cousin Brad J Bara who killed it! 13.01.2022 Fun fact: Ethno has been happening yearly in Brazil, Slovenia, India, Estonia, Sweden, Uganda, France and many other countries worldwide! Since 2011, the worldwide Ethno project has also been happening in Australia with many of our participants having since performed internationally thanks to the lifelong friendships made on this awesome international music exchange. Check out where it all began!
