24.01.2022 My wonderful friends, Keith Meldrum and Pete Moore have just shared important latest info & tips on managing neuropathic pain. Please check it out.

22.01.2022 Thank you ABC Australia The Art Show radio host #NamilaBenson and a writer & disability advocate co-host Carly Findlay for interviewing me to celebrate #InternationalDayForPeopleWithDisability. So honoured to be amongst other wonderful artists in this talk, #digbywebster, #CeilidhDalton, and music by #DrG and #ElizaHull.

15.01.2022 Recently I was invited to give a talk about my works to wonderful people at ArtState conference in Wagga Wagga. The talk was moderated by Liz Martin, and I was one of the panelists together with Allison Reynolds and Bec Hogan. The panel discussion was about the importance of supporting disabled artists, who are often under-appreciated for their insights and skills that only disabled artists with their lived experiences can contribute within and outside of the creative industries in NSW.

14.01.2022 Whilst the five of us female disabled artists were working at the Bundanon Residency the ABC News crew came over to film what we were doing. It turned out to be one of the most productive days there for us because the crew was so mindful of our working space and they wanted to capture what we do, so all we had to do was just focus on our usual stuff. Thank you Accessible Arts Bundanon Trust ABC News

10.01.2022 I am so excited to be co-hosting The Arts Show on ABC Radio National with Namila Benson tomorrow. It’s on at 10.00 am AEDST on the radio, online and podcast ap...ps. We chat to Eugenie Lee (who makes pain simulation installations); Digby Webster (a multi disciplinary artist whose painting was shortlisted for The 2020 Archibald Prize); and Ceilidh Dalton (a metal artist who specialises in sculptures of Australian animals and plants). Music by Dr G and Eliza Hull is also featured. I am SO proud of this. It was a lot of fun to meet these very accomplished and interesting artists, and also to work with Namila. Details: https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/the-art-show/ Video: two women, wearing colourful masks, sitting in front of microphones, talking and laughing to the camera.

09.01.2022 It is so wonderful to hear from people who's read this article. Thank you Hannah Reich for this great write up about my artworks.

07.01.2022 Five female disabled artists in NSW spent much needed time and space to work at the Bundanon Residency last week. The time I had there was so much more than I had expected, I was able to focus solely on my creativity and connect with the other four artists there. The intense friendships I have built with these ladies, Lizzie Cooper Michelle Teear Bernadette Smith Rhiannon Fern and the love and support I have for them are so strong, despite the short duration of spending time ...together, will last for life. During the time there I was able to contemplate deeply on my career as an artist and my methodology - working mainly with participants to assist them to embody pain-like experiences and how COVID-19 has hit me hard as my performance installations working with participants in close-proximity are no longer deemed safe. I am glad to say that my creative crisis is finally waning with renewed inspiration and fresh ideas. The dark cloud over my head is finally thinning, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity that Accessible Arts, the community supporters through fundraising, and Bundanon Trust have provided for me to be able to do what I desperately needed. I am back home now but a part of me still lingers at the historically creative place in Bundanon, missing my new friends, top-notch studio spaces, the landscape and the wildlife (especially the wombats). Thank you to ABC crew capturing our working spaces so beautifully there. See more

06.01.2022 It's fascinating to hear my creative concept described in my native language, Korean. I haven't spoken Korean for nearly 3 decades and this has made me realise how much I've lost the ability to communicate in my first language. Luckily, SBS Korean radio producer, Leah Hyein Na knew how to get around this hiccup by translating my interview into a cohesive Korean narative. Anyone speak Korean? This post is for you!

04.01.2022 I had a wonderful interview with #namilabenson and Carly Findlay OAM from The Art Show for ABC Radio Australia today. Talking about my art practice and advocacy of persistent pain is a particularly welcome opportunity when my usual participatory performances are on hold due to the pandemic. I'll let you know when it's due to go on air!

03.01.2022 I've registered for a really good virtual pain conference coming up in Feb 19-21 called SanDiego Pain Summit. This is the type of place I pay special attention to, particularly to keep up with my knowledge on the latest info on persistent pain, and to manage my own pain condition. I know I'll learn a great deal so I thought I should share with anyone who might also be interested. If you are living with pain and/or non medical practitioner, you can register at a discount (US$75) which is very reasonable considering the amount of knowledge you'll get from it.
