25.01.2022 Friday Find of the Week These super sweet handmade toys were donated this week. All the volunteers loved them and we cannot wait to pass them on to their new families.

25.01.2022 This boot full of lovingly packed bundles of clothing and linen are headed to a family with a unexpected new arrival. In the back of the car are a cot, mattress and bath. We are not able to help families on such quick notice with out the amazing support we receive from you our supporters. If you have items to donate please PM us with a list so we can confirm that we can rehome the items and we will supply with the link to book a time to drop off your items. 24.01.2022 It has been a busy few weeks since we closed (temporarily) while we move and expand!! Here is a few sneaky photo's of the progress we have made. We still remain closed for donations while we continue our efforts, but stay tuned to our page for further updates:-)

24.01.2022 Often it's the little extras we add into our orders that make a big difference to a family. Our main mission is to ensure that every baby has a safe place to sleep and a safe method of transport, be it in a car or pram. Toiletries are something many of us take for granted but purchasing these items can cut into a families food budget. 23.01.2022 Over the last 3 months we have handed more than 20 cots and almost 50 car restraints. Our stocks are getting very low and we still have many babies needing these items. Have you got a cot that was manufactured less than 10 years ago or a car seat that is less than 8 years old. We would love to rehome it for you. 21.01.2022 We are extremely grateful to the team from StreetSmart Australia for their support via a community grant to help us share more, waste less and care for every baby and child. Generous café customers donated online and in cafes across the state to provide support during the challenges of 2020. Thank you for being part of what we do.

18.01.2022 Boxes of books were donated today by the Ballarat East Rotary Club in response to our callout last week. Thank you to all those who have given us books over that past week!

17.01.2022 A pregnant mum of 3 has reached out for help. She's usually the one helping others but when COVID-19 hit, she lost her job and hasn’t been able to work since. She’s now 8 months pregnant and can’t afford the essentials for her baby who is due within days of Christmas. No safe place to sleep. No clothing. No bedding. No nappies. She’s riddled with fear & worry. ... Can you please help with a financial donation today? With your support, we can provide everything she needs within days. This mum said that she has tried to stay strong for her children this year but the stress of the job loss & lockdowns has been too much at times. When she was asked what this special gift of help would mean to them, she took some time & said, I’ll just be so thankful that someone can make things a bit easier for us. 17.01.2022 It's been a nappy bag kind of morning! We have made these up so they are ready to go for the families who will receive them. But we now find ourselves very low on nappy rash cream, disposable nappy bags, baby lotion and nipple cream . 09.01.2022 Progress Update.... With a larger work space we are now able to streamline our sorting areas, however we are running low on plastic tubs. Can you help? 08.01.2022 Thank you to the staff and families at Kidscape Early Learning Centre Ballarat for organising a donation drive! The wonderful items donated such as the nappies and clothing will be lovingly packed and re-homed to families within our community.

05.01.2022 Last week members of the Sturt-Buninyong United Masonic Lodge presented our Operations Manager with a cheque and took a tour of our new warehouse. Through a combination of donations from the Freemasons Foundation and the No. 23 Masonic Social Committee, the Sturt-Buninyong United Lodge is able to provide $4000 to Eureka Mums to fund the purchase of much needed infant car seats. ... We are extremely grateful for these funds which will allow us to ensure that every child has a safe way to travel in a car.

01.01.2022 This is the number of babies and children on our waitlist who need help before Christmas. There's so much need in our community but together we can get this number down to zero before 25 December. One of the children needing help right now is a 3 year old girl who is being cared for by her grandparents. Lockdown has been a struggle in more ways than one. When asked how are you? the simple answer was we’re not going well at all right now.... The grandparents have asked for simple things. New underwear to help with toilet training, a pram so they can make the hour long walk to the shops without having to carry the 3 year old, shoes, clothing. A book and toy pack would be a bonus. As we approach the end of a very difficult year, many of you have asked what you can do to make a difference. 01.01.2022 I’m sure you’ll agree that at this time last year, we had no idea what was coming. By late March, many of us were thrown into remote working, home schooling, isolating at home & in our case - decision making about whether or not we could safely remain open. But as we all know, babies don’t stop being born in a pandemic. The requests for support kept flooding in. It became clear that it wasn't an option to close the doors & say no to families in desperate need. ... So we asked for your help and there you were. We were flooded with goods donations via post & courier. We had more financial donations than ever before on Giving Day - from current supporters & lots of new ones. Volunteers helped out in many different ways from home. This willingness to help is something we will never forget. And something the families you supported will never forget either. Because of all this generosity, above are some of the highlights we achieved together in 2020. Thank you.
