17.01.2022 Perfect day yesterday hand picking our Riesling and Traminer grapes. Being a tough season, our Riesling quantities were below average, but the quality is outstanding. Unfortunately our Traminer quantities were extremely low from the tough season and birds (the grapes are just so tasty!) Each vintage, all of our Riesling. & Traminer grapes go together to make a beautiful wine. Each vintage the style is the same, although the flavours differ in regards to the quantities of each variety - which makes the experience of drinking our wine that much more exciting. 09.01.2022 We’re back! What a way to resume our journey with all you lovely people, than to share this stunning colour display this morning at Evandale. ‘Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning’. Hopefully this comes to light and we get some much needed rain. I (Mandy) have been super busy preparing our soil in between all our orchard trees to put in a cover crop (hopefully just in time for the rain).

09.01.2022 My busiest time of year with pruning to be done and our ewes shortly beginning lambing. These are some of our single bearing ewes, coming in to be shorn. With views like this, who would complain though, right?

08.01.2022 Picked the last of our grapes today, here at Evandale. The last varieties to pick were Alicante and Mataro. Although quantity was down on our red varieties, the quality, again, was outstanding.

03.01.2022 Very exciting morning here at Evandale. Blessed with a baby cria being born here early this morning. We like to diversify here at Evandale, and alpaca breeding is no exception. Not only are they great at helping protect our lambs during lambing season, but they are also very cuddly and part of our family.
