23.01.2022 Today is International Volunteer Day. At Eventeamwork we are proud to work everyday with all of you and we deeply believe that volunteering has an impact on so many level: impact on a personal level, on each other, on the community and on the world. This year's theme is Volunteering for an Inclusive Future. Volunteering provides opportunities for people, particularly those often excluded, to concretely impact their own lives and play a constructive role in their communities by volunteering their time and skills. Through volunteerism, communities around the world often experience strengthened solidarity and inclusion.

21.01.2022 On Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April, an army of volunteers will join their forces to raise funds and raise awareness about veterans in crisis. By exchanging tokens for donations on ANZAC Appeal in various locations in Sydney volunteers will give the opportunity to the public to support our veterans and their families in needs. 21.01.2022 For those of us who volunteered for the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games there sadly will be NO celebrations at Olympic Park to celebrate the 20th Anniv...ersary on 15th September due to COVID-19. This was confirmed in an email I received today. Instead there will be banners hanging on poles around Olympic Park and a social media "memories" campaign on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. There is also a 5 km fun run planned around Olympic Park later this year to commemorate this anniversary. I believe the Cauldron will be lit up for the anniversary. While large gatherings are currently banned there is nothing to stop volunteers from going to Olympic Park on Tuesday to celebrate the 20th Anniversary privately. I will be checking out my name on Pole 509.

16.01.2022 Let's always try to be the source of positivity around us. It can just be a genuine smile given to a stranger or a hug to friend, but to them it might mean so much. So go on, spread positivity, be the source of happiness to those around you. #bepositive #havefun #smile

16.01.2022 Tell RSL NSW what ANZAC means to you and share their post for a chance to win a double pass for the incredible show: WAR HORSE. Good luck!! Note: Don't share or comment on our profile but on the original post on the RSL NSW profile to participate :-)

16.01.2022 Women are often depicted as the weaker sex. What people do not understand is that, what they depict as weak makes women strong. Their compassion and emotions help them create a ripple effect that often times touches people's lives. Great examples of women who were depicted as weak yet showed strength were Mother Teresa and Princess Diana. Their compassion to spread goodness and hope, changed the lives of millions. #IWD #StrongWomen #Hope #Compassion

16.01.2022 Sometimes we forget to enjoy the sunshine in our life because we keep on looking at our shadows. Life needs to lived forward not backwards. Stop looking behind and start living forward. Only when you learn not to look behind do you enjoy the warmth of the present!

09.01.2022 All of us wants to go places, achieve our goals and succeed. The first thing we all have to do to achieve all these is to take the first step. We can never reach our destination without taking that first step, we can never succeed and achieve our goal with out starting out. So don't be scared to take that first step, I am sure it will be the start of an adventure that would eventually lead you to success.

09.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ron Miles a few months ago. Ron was a valued member of the Sydney NYE volunteer family for the past 10 years and a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer for many other organisations as well. We shared the same passion of helping others. His passion of sharing knowledge drove him all his life, from a career in education to volunteering. On New Year’s Eve and causes close to his heart, Ron was always first to raise hi...s hand to make a difference. He is greatly missed. Please keep Ron's family and close friends in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.

08.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone! We are sending love and positive vibes to you and your families, and hope you are keeping well and are enjoying this weekend among your loved ones. Keep smiling

08.01.2022 All great things happens because we believe that we are able to make it happen. No matter how small that belief may be, it is a trigger that will start the wheels rolling to achieve something great. Remember internet was created with the belief that it is possible for multiple computers to communicate with each other. Who would have thought that that simple belief will blow into such large proportions and allow us to communicate from anywhere in the world. So just keep on believing!

07.01.2022 Be summer ready! Check out Eventeamwork latest Newsletter :) https://mailchi.mp/even/new-volunteer-opportunities-5670391

07.01.2022 Sometimes we don't immediately see the results we are expecting and it frustrates us. When this happens don't stop doing what needs to be done cause when we stop that's when we fail. Always remember the best things in world are made through time, like diamonds it takes billion of years for them to be created but hey, they are worth the wait. So if you want to succeed just enjoy the journey and learn from your mistakes but never give up. Happy Wednesday everyone.

02.01.2022 This week is the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs Veterans' Health Week. This year, the theme is mental wellness. One way to look after your mental wellness is to volunteer. Camaraderie and mateship and chatting to the public is a good way to feel good about giving back to those who gave so much for Australia. It is still time to join the Poppy Appeal on Friday 8 and Monday 11 November. To apply: https://eventeamwork.com.au//opportunit/poppy-appeal-2019/
