18.01.2022 Natural folate or synthetic folic acid ? We purposefully do not use synthetic folic acid in EveryMite. We consciously choose to include natural folate. Why? And what is it, and what does it mean ?... Folate refers to the many forms of vitamin B-9. These include things called dihydrofolate (DHF), tetrahydrofolate (THF), and much more. Folate is very important as our body needs B vitamins to create new cells. Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate. Food manufacturers add it to many products because it does not occur naturally in unprocessed foods that contain mostly artificial ingredients and contain little natural food ingredients. Many people have genetic vulnerabilities that they are not aware of, which result in an inability to effectively process synthetic folic acid and effectively utilise it in the body to benefit well being. Hence why it’s so important to eat the natural forms of folate, as your body can better process to benefit your body. It is very hard to have too much folate, as it dissolves in water. This means that the body can get rid of excesses easily. Although the blood may carry some excess folate, this does not cause any known health risks. The body needs folate to function normally. If you have too much folic acid, as it is not absorbing, it can stick to organs in the body, and can result in may chronic health issues. It is so important to understand the ingredients you are eating in your food, and to always try and chose real food EveryMite means real food, and real benefits to your body and those you feedusually your children and loved ones. 16.01.2022 We have some new people liking our page and we just wanted to say welcome and hello! I thought I would share the story of how EveryMite came into being in case you haven't heard it before. The story begins with our youngest son, William, who loved Vegemite but had to stop eating it. ... William, now 7 years old, has Down Syndrome, and is intolerant to yeast, soy, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, melons, and potato. These food intolerances were causing him ongoing gut problems. Eating Vegemite, for example, would make him sick. There were no alternatives to Vegemite that my son could safely eat. So over three years, I experimented with creating one. EveryMite is the result of these years of development...and now our son has a Vegemite-like spread he loves and thrives on! Once our family, neighbours, friends, and friends of friends tasted EveryMite, it was in demand. Its demand has continued to escalate from my local community, to my state, and now throughout Australia as people with food intolerances learn there is a Vegemite alternative they can now safely eat. There is also huge demand from even more people who don’t have food intolerances yet love EveryMite because it gives them a healthier spread one that is additive-free and nutrient dense. One of those days where I didn’t eat till 12 because of morning work. It feels nice to not get hangry anymore in the mornings, yet sometimes eat early if my body is telling me it needs the fuel. I’ve always loved cooking and I am so very lucky & grateful to have so much beautiful/ fresh/ organic produce around the northern rivers. A lot of people talk about intuitive eating online and make it sound easy, however it’s a fairly tricky concept to navigate if you don’t know how to ready your bodies cues. I think to put it simply just try and listen to your body after you eat food. Do you have energy? Did it digest well? Do you feel satiated or unfulfilled? Then go from there, don’t be afraid to try new things to find what works for you

As you may have seen, I am working with some Qld stores to raise money for @downsyndromeqld who provide amazing services, support, education, advocacy, and programs for people with Down syndrome and their families.
