18.01.2022 Who else misses the simple sounds of a load in....!!! Remember those afternoons before showtime when we would be testing off the electrical overlay under stage when you start to hear the sounds of the road cases rolling in down the dock ramps onto stage as the production crews start their load in. The sounds of the motor chains from the riggers, the muffled chatter over the site radios, the hum from the generators kick in and then those LX and audio guys do their thing, in t...he back ground you start to hear and see the sound checks and you think, how good is this.! We miss that.... #eventelec #events #power #festival #production #stagetours #concert #wemakeevents

06.01.2022 We had to share this memory from Carsten Riget .(it was the site class of 2012 at Byron Bay Blues Festival). A great memory of the many site crews that pull together and keep the festivals running around our country behind those black or hessian fence lines that you never see or hear about. Because these are the amazing guys and girls that they called the Gig Economy these tireless workers work as much as all of us in the industry but sadly have never been entitled to support. We hope to see them all real soon and bring the fun and laughter back to punters and the entertainers.....oh , & suppliers #eventelec #sitecrews #festivals #events #bbb #bluesfest #thankyou #gigeconomy

05.01.2022 The marine industry finally has it’s first Australia boat show for 2020. SCIBS presents the Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival, kicking off tomorrow until Sunday. It’s free but you must register online to enter as the daily visitor numbers are limited. There is plenty of displays throughout the marina and marine village.... Jump on sanctuary cove international boat show social pages for all the info. We spotted Nitro Marine has a good range of Sea Jay Boats and Mercury engines on display. #eventelec #scibs #events #nitromarine #sanctuarycove

05.01.2022 This is an important post below issued by Exponet, it targets our government to continue to support our industry that we feel is not understood by our decision makers. It is CRUNCH TIME for so many companies. Our industry, businesses that have shut down for 12 months, we can’t do online orders, we can’t do take aways and with a very small amount of work on the horizon in 2021 it will not get a company back up financially running or re-employing just like that, we will need fu...rther support that is about to be turned off. A few events / promoters, to their credit are taking a risk & trying so hard to run. These are smaller localised events and will not make any significant impact of a rebuild to the AUSTRALIAN events and exhibition industry. With International events unlikely anytime soon we at least need confidence and support to stage and run National events / conferences that can give us any chance to get the industry rebuilding. With most states opening and closing borders like a Westfield car park boom gate Australians that want to attend National events in interstate are not going to have any confidence in buying tickets for the risk of not being able to get home. Same issue, if not more effected is the business events sector. The general feeling in our industry is that the state & federal decision makers do not understand our industry (they love to attend them!) & must think we can bounce back just like that. Events & business events are a forward booking industry of 1-3 years on average planning & so some suppliers and gig workers will still have another 6-12months minimum before any significant work is booked in on their calendar. That’s the concerning part the decision makers don’t seem to understand. They splash cash to start up new events when it will still be over 12month away. Unlike film and sport they seem to get it...... which is frustrating and disappointing to an industry that has always supported Australia and gives back without hesitation #reliefconcerts #charityevents #EventsAlliance #AustralianGovernment #scomo #BusinessEvents #Events #Festivals #Exhibitions #AustralianFestivals #abcnews #Unity
