25.01.2022 I've just been reading the transcript of 22 April 2020 from a strata webinar presentation on COVID and how it has and will continue to impact on strata operations. Thanks to Amanda Farmer of Your Strata Property for this fabulous resource. The main takeaways are: - strata buildings are private property and not subject to the public health directives from a government - strata communities can adapt and create their own practicable solutions to COVID restrictions... - there is no one-size-fits-all solution to expect from legislation (legislation is not always suitable for strata) - strata R&M or Remediation of Defects MUST continue - technology and how we interact from hereon will enhances working/home lives, improves efficiency (time saving), avoids personal confrontation and difficult situations, provides a safe environment for all - committees acting in good faith are protected under common law Amanda's interview was with Chris Duggan, President of SCA who talks franking and opening about the past, present and future scenarios of Covid.

12.01.2022 Am excellent article for my strata owners in buildings that have high traffic common areas. We have implemented many strategies to protect owners. Complacency is the biggest concern, however. Staying vigilant is the only safe option.
