25.01.2022 It's an instinctive reaction to reach for water when there's a stovetop fire, but this video shows you why that's not the best idea! Don't let your flambé flam...e into an emergency - know what to do when the heat gets out of control in the kitchen. 25.01.2022 SES friends in Waroona - Please come along in ORANGE and join SES Volunteers at 6pm on Friday!!

23.01.2022 There’s a new kid on the Emergency WA block! DFES and the Department of Health (HealthyWA) have partnered to customise the Emergency WA website (www.emergency.w...a.gov.au) to include map-based ‘human pandemic’ warnings if they’re needed. The website is now equipped to show localised outbreaks of COVID-19 and provide targeted information to communities impacted. While we hopefully don’t have to use it, this enhancement is part of the WA Government preparation for potential outbreaks of COVID-19 in WA. To help keep the community safe, remember to: Practise good hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Maintain a physical distance from others where possible. Stay home if you’re sick. If you’re experiencing symptoms, get tested immediately. Stay home and self-isolate if you are waiting for your test results.

You are required to slow down to a speed NOT exceeding 40km/h, when travelling in the same direction or move across and give a lane clearance. $300.00 fine and 3 demerit points for failure to comply.

This week is Storm Awareness Week, which means its tim...e to get ready for the dangerous weather. Reduce your risk of storm damage by safely storing or tying down loose objects like outdoor furniture or trampolines that would be picked up and thrown by strong winds. For more information about how to get ready for the storm season visit www.dfes.wa.gov.au.

11.01.2022 There are hundreds of posts doing the rounds supporting firefighters and rightly so. However we also have concerns for all other emergency responders who don't ...receive acknowledgement for their service during these events, yet play an integral part.. This is our way of acknowledging and recognising that any large scale events such as those we're experiencing now take a team effort - consisting of MANY emergency service personnel. PLEASE acknowledge and support them as well, stress levels are really high all round right now in the first responder community. Please share. See more
